A workout experience unlike any I've seen before. The workouts are definitely difficult. I was only in town for a couple of days, but I know if I went a couple more times, I would have started to get in the groove.

One of the best workouts I have had in NYC. We did the 101 class and I would definitely recommend this for beginners. I can’t wait to go again!!

This was hands down the hardest class I’ve ever taken. It was absolutely brutal. If you think because you can do Barry’s, you can do this, it is not the same. The instructors are good and the moves aren’t difficult but they will tire you out and are more athletic based moves. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stairs is because the shower was broken and leaking all over the locker room floor.

The best studio work out I've ever done! The conditioning is top notch!! When waiting to take class in the lounge I feel like I am about to commence war, because of the ominous music that plays as you foam roll before the fun truly begins!

One of the only places were I felt accomplished & challenged when I walked out. Tone House makes you work harder than you can ever imagine working on your own.Pushing myself to the limit made me feel like I worked towards a better body. I took Alonzo's class. Find your favorite coach and grind it out.

I love to hate myself - that's why I go here. Only kidding. Tone House is one of the most challenging workouts in the city and is on point on all fronts: coaches, classes and facilities.Lots of friends ask me how this is different from a Barry's (set to open up very close by) and I have to say that there is no comparison and the target demographic largely does not overlap. In my opinion, Tone House and Barry's are certainly not substitute goods unless you want to risk being disappointed by the latter. Class approach is completely different and the workout/environment at Tone House is not one you can replicate on your own. Think smaller groups, team oriented atmosphere and more variety of circuits to challenge yourself in new ways (i.e. sleds, TRX, ropes, weird resistance bands, gliders, sand bags).Tone House delivers consistently excellent workouts with a countable amount of dedicated coaches/instructors. Barry's on the other hand is a larger chain, and in my personal opinion, is all over the place. When you attend a class at Barry's Bootcamp, I find that it's what I imagine is a similar experience to buying a used car: you could potentially get a 'lemon'. I definitely don't like the swing and a miss concept when it comes to exercise classes. At Tone House you'll never have to be worried that an instructor will be lack luster and you'll have to have to think 'it's what you make of it' to make yourself feel better that you just spent money to encourage yourself to sweat to death. On a more random note, the change rooms and showers feel like being at Batman's house. They also play the Jurassic Park theme in the lounge area just outside the change rooms. LOL :)
