I have a concern about the mask policy. It's a good idea to ask everyone wearing a mask all the time, however, I saw many people didn't wear a medical mask. They only cover their mouth and nose with a cloth mask but a cloth mask can't effectively protect. I've heard some tennis courts nearby reported COVID-19 confirmed cases for the past months. Please take action for this ASAP.

No Grunting, No cut offs ts, and no dropping weight? An they play awful music, if I were 10 and in gym class I would enjoy the music. The absolute worst gym I have ever been to! It’s to bad you have to give at least a one star in a review

Ok gym equipment, but that's about it. Bathrooms are gross and their heat and AC are poor.They don't care about their members either. The company only survives by billing people who no longer use the gym, so they're incredibly obstinate about cancelling. Choose a different gym.

I don’t even know where to begin. I actually like planet fitness because of the low price and convenience. I visit multiple planet fitnesses depending on where I’m at since I live on the north shore and work in Waltham. Every time I go to the Waltham location I am disappointed. The only good thing about this location is the front desk staff is friendly, welcoming, and greets you with a smile. Other than that the place is dirty, and always has been. Since the pandemic it has actually gotten worse if you can believe it. No one is social distancing and tons of people do not have a mask on, and I don’t expect the late teen 20 something year old staff to police patrons. The amount of people without a mask on the correct way in there is disturbing and scary. I do not feel safe and I am not an overly scared person, if I see someone without a mask I just simply keep my distance. BUT it is so over crowed and so dirty it is hard to keep distance and feel safe there. It is disturbing, unsafe, unsanitary, and just wrong. The people who work there are young so I can understand why they don’t see the danger and they don’t typically leave the front desk but it’s dangerous and I’m honestly surprised the board of health hasn’t shut them down.

I have been a Member of Planet Fitness Waltham for many years and overall I have enjoyed it. I have seen many Staff Members and Managers come and go because it's Near by a College so they usually get seasonal staff. However this Review is more for the Manager Sandra Craig and while I'm giving 3 Stars to the Club, she does take the additional 2 Stars. I have managed anywhere between 20 - 50 Staff Members and the Managers myself, and I know how difficult it is to find someone like Sandra. Allow me to explain why!First time I met her about a year ago, She was Personal, Polite yet Professional. Even now, Not only myself but other regulars too, she greets all of us with a smile and by using our first names. WOW! How wonderful is that! I have never seen any other Managers spend as much time on the Floor cleaning and wiping Machines, engaging with Members, having meeting with her staff at the desk and even show up long hours on the weekends, as much as Sandra does. It seems like she really cares about the place and succeeding. The current seasonal staff who just went back to School are Gina, Dominique, Denielle, Cassidy & Tamia are all great but my only concern is the Manager needs some long term help or she would get burned out.I would say Sandra is truly an asset to any corporate, and Planet Fitness is fortunate to have her. I truly hope she gets rewarded in some ways for her outstanding service, which is rare to find now a days.

My experience actually going to the gym was fine. The staff are nice, and the facility is nice and clean. My bad experience began in March, when I tried to cancel my membership. The pandemic began, and the gym was still open at this point. I called them to cancel the membership, but they said I had to come in person. I couldn't do so because I didn't feel safe going there during a pandemic. They didn't inform me that I could send a letter in order to revoke authorization, but then the gym was shutdown so payments stopped until August. However, in August charges started again, so I called them again. They told me to send a letter, so I did. They sent me an email confirming that they recieved the letter, but since then they have charged a $40 fee (presumably an annual payment) and just yesterday they charged a monthly $20 fee for September. I sent them an email telling them that I will be disputing the charges, and have contacted my bank to tell them not to authorize further payments, and to dispute the charges. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS WITH PLANET FITNESS. I have looked up other similar complaints, and they are many. Some people have sent multiple letters and called many times and continue to be charged. I will be suing the company if charges continue.

Great gym. I just joined this week and they have everything I was looking for at a very affordable price! Everyone is very respectful and good about cleaning the machines after use. There is enough equipment available to ensure you aren’t waiting around even when it’s busy. Highly recommend this gym!

The cleanliness is good but I advise you to place Clorox in the showers, it smells like moisture and is harmful to your health.

Unprofessional in the current pandemic situation. Horrible reviews on cleanliness yet they refuse to cancel over the phone or refund $ billed without notice of a reopening.
