Crunch Fitness - Summerville

Just started training with Kimberley Kapral at crunch. She is fantastic. She watched me on a non training day. Looking lost. Made it a point to come over and help me with the exercise and equipment. I really look forward to her workouts

This Fitness Center is the BEST!!!!!! I have been to different gyms in the area but NOTHING COMPARES with this Gym, My wife and I are VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PLACE, Great Customer services, Very Clean, Great staff and they are ALWAYS WITH THAT SMILE, Brand NEW equipments, “THE BEST TRAINERS”, Great location, HUUUUGE PARKING LOT WITH PERFETCT PARKING SPACES, OK this GYM is PERFECT!!!!!! AND BIIIIG Thanks to KAT(Personal Trainer Manager/ she is very smart and always nice to me), The Hit zone Trainers are excellent!!!! And Savannah has been training my wife and I for 3 months and we can see great results already, Thank you so Much guys, YOU GUYS ARE THE BEEEEEEEEEEEST!!!!!!!!!!!

My doctor yelled at me (nicely, I must say...) to join a gym. I am 63 yrs old, ran my last 5K in Nov 1979 in Bologna Italy and have been a bump on the log since.So, In Dec, I pick a gym on my way home from work (the mailer I received helped - yeah, snail mail, I know - ok boomer) and Kat Knect connected me with RILEY, the awesome trainer. He listened to my goals (strengthen my core, upper bod, and balance) and we work on these every week. I do cardio on my own, so I just veg out on the treadmill (thank you HGTV) and rower.It's only been 3 months and my balance has improved, I am noticeably stronger and just got my runner's high back for the 1st time in 41 yrs while doing a 5K on the treadmill. Losing 12 lbs has been an added and needed bonus.So, when my oldest gets back from overseas in the fall, we are going to do a family run (all my kids are runners) together. Can't wait!So kudos to Riley and the entire friendly team at Crunch. You are helping this old broad get back into shape so I can keep up with the kids and grandbabies.

No regrets joining Crunch Summerville! The staff is wonderful and I love the wide range of equipment. It’s a great space and I look forward to upgrading my membership soon to take advantage of some of the classes!

I had an assessment with Kat Knecht at the beginning of the month and I decided to sign up with Kat being my trainer. I was poorly out of shape and had reservations about getting a trainer. Kat has made my fitness fun and and I can see and feel results in this short period of time. Kat is very knowledgeable on training techniques as well as nutrition. She actually cares and willing to go the extra mile for her clients. I reccomend Kat to whomever is trying to get in shape as she will transform your body as well as your life!

The gym is ok, good luck working out in the evening. I encountered some unprofessional staff today. Tried to go workout around 1:20 and 3 staff members were blocking the door with sandbags. They said we are closing at 2pm, ok but it was 1:20 I still had time. Needless to say I had to workout in the rain.

Awesome gym! For first time in my life I can totally see myself being a member here in the years to come and possibly upgrade. Very welcoming atmosphere, new equipment, clean and most of all they have Concept2 rowing machines! love it!

I was a member for about a month for work and then moved abruptly to where I could not go into this location to cancel. I called them and they stated I could cancel at a different location near where I moved too. This failed and then COVID hit and I was told to wait to cancel until reopening which I was immediately charged for upon them reopening. Now I have been double charged for 2 months of my membership when I was charged the previous month. The gym is nice but my experience with the management has been horrendous.

I typically like this gym, I go 4-5 times a week and the morning staff is usually nice. Its a whole different atmosphere later at night though, the staff is so rude, cold and has lack of attention. It becomes so frustrating if you’re trying to get some help, and some are so untrained. Oh, and good luck trying to work out during the busy times of 4-8 on the weekdays, its so busy in there you barely have room to stretch, use machines and workout.

I recently changed my # of stars to 5 with more use & this review. Crunch is a full service gym with all your normal gym equipment such as free weights, a large variety of circuit equipment, punching bags, sleds, exercise & medicine balls, elastic bands & much more. They have the usual classes like spin & Pilates.I found the tanning beds (do you still call the stand up machines a bed?), water massage, red light therapy, and the full body scan to be a great surprises. The tanning and massage units are my favorites.The full body scan is quite useful. I’ve used it once and was pleased with the numbers but the image was not my friend. I can kid myself when I am only tracking numbers but the silhouette doesn’t lie.They will walk you around to tell you about both the equipment, classes and other offerings as well as the membership options.There is a company that offers personal trainers and I believe they work as an outside contractor company. Beware when looking at your credit card statement. The charge is listed as a club membership out of Arkansas with no phone number. Kinda strange but no need to think it's fraud. I really like my trainer, Jonathan, and need the accountability it brings. I have numerous physical issues and Jonathan seems well trained to devise a workout that gives me a great workout without exacerbating my back or neck problems. I'm 63 trying to make sure this body stays as mobile as possible and Jonathan is a big part of that effort.There are gyms at different locations and I am only reviewing the Ladson Road Crunch. I have walked in to 1 other location and it wasn’t as nice. Their age may have been the difference but I thought there was more to it.
