4th of July hours were posted open till 4:00pm. Myself and my husband pulled in about 2:30 to find new closing hours and a closed gym. I understand it’s a holiday but please follow the hours you posted the week before. We planned our day and drove 20 minutes to get there. Totally a waste of your holiday time.***update: I received a call from VASA corporate and they worked to help me with this issue I really appreciated the follow up on this.

If I could put zero stars I would. I bought a year of Vasa for my son for Christmas on their Black Friday sale. If you paid an additional $50 then you wouldn't have a contract. That was what I wanted so I paid an additional $50. After his year was up, it would be on him to get his own membership. However, they sent me to collections as they said the contract automatically renews. How did I have a renewable contract when I paid additional money not to have a contract. Don't get a membership. Don't give them the opportunity to ruin your credit, run outside for free or buy your own weights. This place is predatory and truth be told, we should all do a class action lawsuit against them for their deceptive practices.

I like the space and layout. The equipment has plenty of room to walk between, equipment conditions is high. The turf area with lanes, ropes and sleds is awesome.HOWEVER, I suggest the facility get more barbell weights for the various equipment that uses them. I think this could be easily accomplished by selling all the 35 lb plates and using those profits towards the purchase of more 45 lb and 25 lb plates. Seems like at peak hours there aren’t enough to go around.

The equipment is old, worn down and not maintained. Staff does not care about enforcing posted rules whatsoever. Club is filthy and nasty. Members are rude and are oblivious to proper gym etiquette. Would love to speak to upper management but never provided a follow up phone call let alone a real individual's email. Would welcome also a higher up from VASA to do an unannounced walk through to see if they are satisfied with this location.

I've been to a few Vasa locations over the years. The Ogden location is the worst by far in regards to activity level and parking. It's almost impossible to find a parking space in their lot. With the exception of the one time that I went at 6:00 in the morning, the gym is always packed. There have been numerous instances where I couldn't use a piece of equipment, because it was in use and already had another person waiting. Not to mention the people that sit on equipment between sets talking.Other reviews have mentioned it isn't very clean and this hasn't changed. The bathroom stalls invariably have something on one of the walls or doors and dust on all the accessibility handrails. The floors are black right next to areas that can't be reached by a mop. The filter indicator light on the water fountain isn't working, so there's no way to tell whether or not the water is being properly filtered. After reading other reviews, some dated years ago, and the pandemic, more attention would be paid to sanitation.Vasa needs to add another location in the central/N. Ogden area and do a better job of cleaning AND sanitizing, as opposed to a simple quick cleaning process.

The franchise VASA itself is pretty good for the price. But the Ogden location is easily one of the worst gyms in town. Kaysville and Layton are always expanding adding new equipment, juice bars, and supplement stores. Ogden is always short staffed and littered with hand written “out of order” signs tapped to the equipment.Which I wouldn’t be mad about but we’re charged an annual “maintenance fee” just find that there hasn’t been maintenance in months. I’m only giving this place 2 stars because it is…in fact a gym that you can get a decent workout in thanks to the fact it has so few members theres never a crowd. Save yourself some money and get a basic membership, the steam room and sunna will never be operational and if they are it’s never at the same time.

The gym has everything you need and more. They bait and switch you on the prices when you sign up and gouge you with a nonsense extra fee that they say is to lock in your monthly price but all it does is raise your monthly price when you think about it, they lied to me about the steam room, I was told it works it does not and doesn’t seem like it will be operational anytime soon, the pool has tons of dirt and trash at the bottom that they don’t seem to ever clean. Those are my complaints everything else seems good about the gym.

Been a member of this gym since 2017. Slowly seeing this place decline. Equipment is broke and worn down for weeks before being fixed. Water fountains are always out of order or saying they need a filter change. Tonight's work out was almost the straw on the camels back. So many people hogging machines while they talk to their friends. Group of friends talking here, group of friends talking there. People misusing machines. I'm just starting to get confused on where our monthly payments are going if it isn't going toward new equipment and betterment of the facility. I am also getting confused if you are wanting this to be a hang out spot or a Gym. YOU NEED TO HAVE YOUR "EMPLOYEES" walk around and kick people off machines if they want to have social time instead of fitness time. Super upset and something has to change. Maybe that change is the gym I give my money to.

Overall it's a good gym. There are some maintenance issues however. Two of their bottle filling drinking fountains didn't work for filling bottles, and now today the third one doesn't work. I'm the men's locker room, the faucet handles for the sinks are generally loose so it's difficult to control the water temperature. The faucet issue has been present for at least a year.
