Multiple times in the last week I showed up after opening time, and it has not been open. Waking up early and driving out to the gym to get a workout in before work and waiting for over 30 minutes with no one ever showing up to open it, then finally leaving....proving to be a waste of my time and money. If you are looking for a reliable gym, you may want to look somewhere else....

the gym is overpacked it’s practically impossible to get a decent FULL workout! every machine is always taken some even broken. The price is not worth what you’re getting I only went there for two months and just cancelled my membership. At this rate you’re better off going to a small equipment only gym for half the price 10/10 would not recommend

Vasa has locations all over Utah. They're also 20m from my parents in AZ and less than 1 mile from my best friend in Indiana so it makes sense to join if I want a gym. Unfortunately my overall experience w Vasa and their billing department is very poor. Cancelling membership was a nightmare and I've heard many other had similar issues

Doing this review at VASA’s request.Their gyms are over-sold and overcrowded. The equipment in the legacy locations (previously Gold’s and Spa Fitness) is old and beat up. The bathrooms are old and beat up, and gross. There are deal-breaker waits for popular equipment from 4-8:30pm and the free weights are in complete disarray because the kids hired to run it are only there to restrict access and enlist new clients.Lucky for VASA there isn’t any serious competition in the SLC valley. But membership is cheap and you get what you pay for, so I shouldn’t really complain. I’m kind of stuck with the choices available.

Good gym with a lot of equipment but terribly maintained. It all seems like it’s in its last limb, the bathrooms are terrible and theres only one working water fountain. Instead of spending money on a new Olympic lifting section they should spend it on facilities maintenance. I would give 5 stars if it weren’t for that.

The worst gym I’ve ever encountered and dealt with. The staff is incredibly rude the billing system is messed up. There’s hidden fees. It has been nothing but trouble since I joined. They charge you to cancel and freeze your account they charge you for every little detail and the gym environment is not supportive at all. It’s a very judgy rude place. Wouldn’t reccomemd it at all. The girl at the front desk unfroze my account without permission and now I had to pay to get it refroze when I didn’t want it unfroze to begin with. Wasn’t willing to listen to what we had to say whatsoever. Very unhappy with this gym.

This was my home gym until a couple years ago when I moved to NC. I was visiting for a couple weeks and John at the front desk reminded me about how friendly Utah can be, though he’s a Georgia native he has a Utah style of hospitality. Plus the gym itself is great for the price. I use every area of the gym and find it to be in good condition.

There’s always at least one (if not multiple) thing broken which really isn’t a surprise because everything seems to be old and falling apart. The rubber on equipment is peeling off, the ropes are all fraying, some of the barbells spin on the ends, some of the benches in the free weight area wobble, there has been one bar missing from the benching or squatting area for months, etc. I get some of this is people abusing equipment but a lot of it is because of how old it is. Also the bathroom always smells horrible. This gym desperately needs an equipment upgrade. If you’ve been to almost any other vasa in a 30 mile radius you’d realize it seems like Ogden gets the hand me downs. The one good thing this Vasa has going for it is the staff, they’re always super friendly.

I just started my membership a week ago and have really enjoyed it so far. I’ve been to several classes, used the massage chair, and had a personal appointment with one of the fitness specialists there. I’m looking forward to getting toned up and having fun doing it. The location is great and it’s a good, clean atmosphere. You should really give it a try!

So far, VASA Fitness has exceeded my expectations! I was highly impressed with my new personal trainer MARCOS on the initial free consultation, so much so that I signed up for weekly classes with him! I will update this review after we do my 3-month review, but so far so good!! Definitely give them a try, decent pricing and friendly helpful staff (:
