Been a member since 2011, honestly haven’t had any complaints at all. Denise is super friendly and very helpful and the rest of the staff is super serviceable. 100% recommend it.

I have been a member of Retro for several years. Claudia, who works the front desk most mornings, is an incredibly rude and unprofessional individual. I come and work out early in the morning on the treadmills, and every single morning, Claudia has the music BLASTING upstairs. I am usually the only one up there, so I have asked her repeatedly about lowering the music, but she refused to do so out of spite. She also always has the fan on FULL blast in the morning on the treadmills. I've also asked her many times about this and she refused to do change it. And when I started turning the fan off myself, she actually started going upstairs and putting a tape and design on the fan saying that no one can touch it. It is clear that Claudia does not care about the members and instead wants to run her own show in the mornings. And this is really disappointing because the manager, Denise, and the other staff at Retro are really, really nice.

The gym itself is a very good facility small but has all the necessary equipment. Few instances recently of not opening on Sunday on time. Says open 7 am. Two times over last month no one opened.

I switched from Plant Fitness to Retro about a year and half ago and it was the best decision I've made for my fitness. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the gym has plenty of equipment so you'll always be able to find something. Overall this is a great place to work out.

It’s an okay gym... I guess I can’t complain too much since I’m only paying $10 a month but their hours are horrible compared to planet fitness which is 24 hours for the same price. Machines here are broken- they have 2 newer stair masters and 1 ancient stair master (1 that is broken if you hit pause it won’t start up again and 1 older stair master that doesn’t stop when you hit stop LOL) the staff isn’t as friendly as the reviews make it seem, honestly seems like they don’t want to be there in the evenings. I’m just waiting for my contract to end in June so I can switch to planet fitness in little falls. I’ve been to that planet a few times with my friends and they have newer stair masters, friendlier staff, and better hours.

I have been a member here since it opened. I love going to retro. I have my own routine so I don’t take classes (so I can’t comment on them). The staff is very friendly and there is plenty of equipment. My only complaint is that I wish they would open earlier on the weekends, and sometimes multiple pieces of equipment are out of order and it takes sometimes up to two weeks to get fixed (ab machine). The only other problem which is very annoying (not really the fault of the gym) is that too many people sit on the machines not using them and just scroll on their phones. Or sometimes people are talking loudly on their phones. I assume this goes on at every gym. Maybe you could put signs up that say “ please use the lobby area if you need to be on your cell phones”.

I worked out here for several years and always enjoyed the atmosphere and cleanliness. I stopped coming when I changed jobs and the distance was too much. I called about canceling membership and spoke to Sam. He couldn’t have been nicer. There was no pressure no hard-sell just simple guidance on how to come in and quickly cancel my membership. When I arrived just as he said within three minutes I was through with the cancellation and everyone that helped was professional and friendly. If I ever return to this area I will certainly join Retro of Wayne because of the way they treat their members as people and more than just a membership fee!

Great staff, great facility. Never too crowded and has everything I need to complete my workouts!
