**UPDATE**    i am not the only one with this issue, but, perhaps the most vocal at this point.   The miscommunication was between retro employees as i was quite proactive with this issue,  and every single time i brought up their procedural mishaps,  and provided reminders for payment, i have 13 times in total, they provided various excuses from systems malfunction to "I forgot", and promised to run my card manually each and every time.  I requested statements, and balances each time, and after a year of excuses, i have yet to receive a single one.  I have a tremendous amount of patience and understanding but when you are wrong, excuses is the last thing i want to hear.  A simple task which was automated, or even a two minute setup and click, manually running a card, should never explode out of proportion.  The issue is with current management, their attitude.  Blaming me and get this...THEATENING me legally when I've been more than willing to keep up to date. Just be careful and take precautions if signing up for any programs if dealing with Denise.I will say, i am quite impressed with the owner, and would absolutely leave a positive mark for being reputable and caring, and answering even a harsh review such as this is.--------------------------I signed up for a gym membership in Wayne, as well as Personal Training, back in Dec 2015. I bought packages for personal training where I was to be billed twice a week (bimonthly). I am complaining as the manager Denise is claiming I have not paid for PT or the gym membership is over 350 days. I am not sure why she is causing issue, but there has been complications getting the management to maintain a consistent payment plan. This was setup for auto-charge from their system. That was consistent for about 3 months. From there, they decided for whatever reason to make all the charges manually. They forget or charged the wrong amount quite often. I printed out my statements and brought this up to Denise's attention as well as the PT manager at the time. Each time they said they would handle it and continue to charge accordingly, and informed me to not worry about it, they will resolve the error and mistakes on their end. Long story short, I cancelled many sessions, and provided more than adequate notification of the VAST and NUMEROUS times they were not charging my account, and then they would actually mark down saying I was training. Denise recently approached me and threatened collections and a lawsuit if I don't pay the balance that is owed from their mistakes. I informed her that I was no longer going through PT, and I requested statements to compare to my records. That was over a month ago and she refuses to provide. I am quite upset over this, and do not accept the attitude and unprofessional handling of my gym membership. I have NEVER refused to pay, in fact, on the contrary, brought up many times to management and reminded them to charge my account! I can not hand hold, and babysit them. I already have a career as a Sr. Systems Architect. I also do NOT accept threats when I clearly have been notifying them accordingly, and also eventually stopped training altogether in order to avoid accumulating charges. I also do not accept the fact they are adding sessions in which I did NOT schedule or attend. If a session was cancelled, it was at least a day in advance. They are attempting to force me and strong arm me into paying for their mistakes. So be very CAREFUL when dealing with management, and I would absolutely NOT recommend the PT program until they get their act together with their billing.

It's only been about a month so far, but I go after work and weekends (peak times) and I have rarely had to wait to use a piece of equipment. And if I wait I just do something else. There's plenty of equipment to go around. Clean facilities and friendly staff. I'm happy I chose Retro Fitness over the other gyms in the area.

Clean, tidy, and it has everything you need, except for a steam room :( A sauna or steam room would make it the best in the area. I would even pay extra! Another great thing is that there PLENTY of room- never overcrowded.

I just came back from to the gym for the first time in 7 months and the same machines that didn't last time are still broke. Also they need to do a better job cleaning the locker room and gym areas.

Basic small town gym - everything you need not want. Cardio equipment is weak but everything is tidy/clean. Staff is very unwelcoming and I've been coming for a year. I've seen the owner almost every day and she has never shed a smile. Retro's in other parts of the area are larger with more informative welcoming staff.

Been a member here for about 2 yrs now. Overall it's a good gym. Nothing too fancy but has everything you need for a good workout. Staff is friendly and almost always greet you when you come in. Bathroom/locker room should be cleaned more often. For the price, there isn't a better gym in the area.

Be sure when you cancel your membership that you get it in writing and write a letter to the collection department. I went in there in person and they assured I was done even though I was in a month to month membership. Nine months later I am still being billed.

The best Retro Fitness in the area, Top 3 things I like about it; Greeting at the door, friendly staff, big 2 floor environment. The only thing I disliked was that Parking could be tough at times
