We have had a membership from crunch and during covid time we decided to cancel, we called to verbally cancel and they would not accept that. We were out of town and couldn't physically make it into the gym to cancel in person in time for the renewal. They charged us the renewal and annual anyways and we disputed with our bank and the bbb. Fast forward a year later we get a letter from collections saying we owe over 200$. This gym is an absolute fraud and I would stay away from it at all costs.

During Covid we attempted to cancel our membership with FITNESS 1. We called and called and even drove by but the line was never answered, there was no voicemail and the gym was closed, obviously. Come to find out, FITNESS 1 had been bought by Crunch. We only find this out this year after seeing charges from a gym we never signed up with. No notifications were made from FITNESS 1 that they had been bought or that charges would resume. It appeared online and at the building as they had gone out of business and no charges would ever resume. Apparently FITNESS 1 sold all memberships and info to Crunch and transferred them as a way to make up for losses? Either way, ethically sketchy & overall poor business practice. Now, when calling crunch, they will not retroactively refund without PAPER evidence… I’m sorry, how are we supposed to have a paper trail when we called and the entire building & business was not only closed from Covid but also because they went under? The BBB has many similar reviews. Stay far away from any company that does this.

Tried canceling my membership during covid in March '20 through Email, they didn't let me. They also weren't open or answering phones. So I had to change my debit card just to stop them from charging me. Now I'm getting calls from some collection agency in NY for a gym I stopped going to over a year ago.Luckily I saved my Email as proof of cancelation.Collection agency has stopped calling but I'm leaving this review here cause Coulter wants to imply that I didn't have the funds to attend his prestigious gym that charges you when you can't go.

They will refuse to cancel your membership, and then threaten to send you to collections if you don’t continue to pay. I have on several occasions tried to cancel with no balance, and with a balance. All times being told I cannot cancel. The franchise owner is a scam, and his staff is just as bad. Do not sign up here!

I’ve been going to Crunch in Phoenix for a few months now. The facility is clean and spacious, and staff is very friendly. Their personal training sessions are reasonable and effective. The PT Madi is great!

I was a former member of fitness one before they all closed down and my information was unethically transferred over to crunch fitness without my knowledge. I called and spoke with Colt about the situation and he waived all fees and debt right away. Very friendly and ethical.

When trying to cancel my gym membership due to me moving they made it extremely difficult by insisting that I come in person to cancel it. When I went the next day they said that a manager has to cancel my membership and they didn’t inform me of this while on the phone. So I had to drive a half hour there just for nothing and half an hour back. Now I have to wait again to cancel it tomorrow.

Am out of town and wanted to try Crunch's free trial. Since we have a location back where I live, I figured I could get a workout in, and maybe signup after the trial, depending on how I liked it. Nope, no free trial unless you live in Arizona, even tho there's multiple locations back home in Denver.....good to know, won't be signing up here and will let other ppl looking know too 😆.I travel all over the country where crunch fitness locations are, too bad they don't need members that much 😆🤷♂️👍

Had a membership before the pandemic, once the business closed I couldn’t go to the gym and cancelled my membership via email on the website. I had moved and life continued on, got a new gym because Crunch was not in my area anymore. They now have put me into collections saying I owe them $140 and that the only way they would remove the charges was if I got a new membership, payed $75 or payed the collections in full... they said on the phone that no one was answering emails when they closed and the only was to cancel was to come in (they were closed for the pandemic!!) :After contacting the business the new owners and manager were very understanding. They were able to review my documents and cleared up the issue. I will recommend the new management and want to say they were very friendly and accommodating to the situation. I would definitely consider becoming a member at this location because of how the new owners handled this situation! I wish them the best of luck and hope they continue to turn the image left by the previous owners around!
