We have had a membership from crunch and during covid time we decided to cancel, we called to verbally cancel and they would not accept that. We were out of town and couldn't physically make it into the gym to cancel in person in time for the renewal. They charged us the renewal and annual anyways and we disputed with our bank and the bbb. Fast forward a year later we get a letter from collections saying we owe over 200$. This gym is an absolute fraud and I would stay away from it at all costs.

I'm actually a member from Blast Fitness - and I have been doing business with Crunch until now. Their new ownership is absolutely terrible. I have had multiple accounting issues with them of which were in fact their fault, and they never have the ethical solution which is to reverse charges. Their employees also don't know this information to be able to disclose it to avoid future conflicts of this nature. My account is currently frozen - and heavily reconsidering after almost 3 years.

This people are thieves. They are charging when you can't use gym and still charging annual fees when you are frozen waiting to go in and cancel.. two weeks after i froze they charged me annual $49! Not yo mention I've never used gym once from January!! When they sold membership high pressure and lies!!Update I still am being charged and I had several messages to come back to crunch and so I thought it was finally canceled but no.. they're still charging me and I went into the place and they say they can't cancel.. I have to talke to manager who's only there Tues morning!!!!! Stop charging me. I'm going to my bank to stop them.. I now have a note showing that I went in and they refuse cancel that reception gave me.. because manager doesn't answer emails and why?? Because they need my money desperately enough to refuse cancel. So tells me they're desperate broke and willing to ruin reputation to keep $23 a month.

I have generally been good with the only 3 Crunch gyms in AZ however in my visit to the North PHX one on Sat 7/9/22 it was closing when I in the locker room changing to leave. The staff member flickers the lights on and off which I didn't mind as a heads up but then he turns them off and leaves them off in the men's room and I'm stuck in the dark. I yell but nothing thinking I got left behind. After tripping over the bench I made my way out the men's room and yelled out I was still in the locker room but gym was closed and no one around so I made my way back to get my things fortunately found my phone and used the flashlight to gather my things and walk out just as the lights came back on and see the staff member come towards me to do a men's room check as I yelled at him on my way out. I don't know if this is his common practice and just being funny but it needs to stop and followed up by mgmt. I never had this problem with the other two gyms in Gilbert and Avondale during closing time as they do restroom checks before turning off the lights.

I was being charged for over 3 years despite not ever stepping foot into the gym except to try and cancel my membership. After sending various emails and leaving a review, Coulter stepped in and verified that my membership has now officially been canceled.I appreciate his quick response in resolving my matter.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I was lied to when I signed up, regarding my guests privileges. After only using the gym for 3 days, I canceled my membership and was then informed that I would be responsible for 1 month plus the annual fee. Their general manager, Coulter Greenwell, is not willing to work with me on pro-rating the fee due to an error on their employees part. They clearly only care about money and not the customer.

- never signed up here so how do you have my information?- I've tried cancelling many times and have been told many times that I have cancelled- keep getting calls about late payments- everytime I ask for help or to speak with a manager, he's never available and never gets back to meI never signed up and I live far away so apparently I'll have to make a day out of cancelling a gym membership at a gym I've never been to. Scammy business model.Sign up literally anywhere else.

My friend called in to cancel the personal training as she encountered a financial situation. The Manager assured her she can email someone in the company to freeze ghe account for 6 months which is great, as she did not want to stop training completely. The company emailed her back, saying they can only freeze for 30 days and need a 14 day notice. She is understandably upset with this information. They require medical or relocation documentation to freeze or cancel. Due to this I am considering canceling my membership as well. This is a shame as the people in the gym have treated us well.

I typically don’t feel compelled to leave poor reviews but Crunch has really gone downhill. They used to be 24 hours and changed around the start of the pandemic, which would be fine… if they actually had staff there to open the gym. On a regular basis, you have to wait 30-45 mins past “opening” for someone to show up and unlock the place, sometimes even longer. This has been happening since they changed their hours, some weeks it happens multiple times a week. Also not sure if this is something management has control over but worth mentioning if you’re considering a membership here… a few days a week in the early mornings, there’s some sort of class that goes on behind the treadmills blasting their own music, separate from the gym music. Like full volume blasting, treadmill-rattling, you can still hear it clear as day through noise cancelling headphones. I wish I was exaggerating. I’m a little confused why they don’t use the designated fitness class area that’s at least separated by doors? Again not sure if this is officially offered through the gym or not, but would be nice to be able to put in headphones and enjoy a workout relatively undisturbed.Biggest issue is the unreliability though, so one star for affordability, and another star for pleasant staff members (the ones that do show up), but otherwise you’re just paying to not actually be guaranteed to use the service you pay for.

I have been a member since Crunch Fitness opened in January of 2019 . The facility is clean and well maintained with friendly staff. Membership packages are priced more than fair for what you get. Gym members are awesome and I have made a few friends here 🙂 The trainers and class instructors are top notch ! …
