Little slice of gain heaven. Diamond in the rough... more than questionable neighborhood but well run gym. Its planet fitness so mostly machines unfortunately, but well cleaned and maintained by staff

Great place to workout. Has everything you need. Clean equipment, clean bathrooms and friendly staff. Go and get your membership and come workout.

I enjoy the environment, very clean and the staff is friendly. Good workout for a low monthly price, can't beat it.

The people here is very rude...I work with people with disabilities and we bring them here...it was my 1st time taking them in the morning and the people that was working at the front desk was very rude and was staring my co worker and the person we support the whole time they was there. The people that work in the evening are very nice...I don’t appreciate it at all

For over a year I have been trying to cancel my membership. I have gone to this location in person, multiple times, and I have call them. They still have not cancelled my membership so I am writing this review so others will know what they are in for if they join this gym.

I think the staff at the Victory Blvd Planet Fitness are the reason why this gym, in my opinion, is the best in the area. They are always working hard at keeping the place nice, clean, and running smoothly. There are a lot of machines and I've never had to wait to use one. Bathrooms are always stocked & clean. I think I counted 22 HDTV's hanging up everywhere which is awesome. The Black Card members have a nice big area out of sight from the main gym, but easily accessible up by the front with2 water-spa loungers (7 minute time limit),2 hydro beds (7 minute time limit),2 chair massagers (5 minute time limit), 2 stand up Beauty Angel's (vibra-therapy up to 14 minutes),2 or 3 tanning beds (up to 12 minutes per 24 hours),and 1 stand up tanning booth (up to 12 minutes.)It would be nice if they had a little sauna room each locker room. Jubyst saying.I truly do get a good chuckle whenever, if ever, they hit that loud "Lunk Alarm" bell. (Lunk alarm is pushed by a staff member, for instance, when lifters drop, clang, or bang the heavy weights, or huff n puff making those loud straining sounds, or, for carrying a full gallon of water while working out, just stuff like that.) Yeh, I've rarely heard it rung (4x in 2 years) but, it the 4 reasons were legit. The "lunkhead" just stopped for a few minutes anyway bc its really nothing serious. I think its all outta good fun. If lifters became too annoying to the regular common ppl, then I think it would be addressed accordingly. This Planet Fitness does have a very good cordial staff since the past 2 years I've seen.Oh, I almost forgot to mention a delicious PF benefit! Twice a month PF hosts 1 free pizza night & 1 free bagels morning every month! I get the days confused tho. Around 5-7pm on the 1st Monday night of each month is Pizza Night, and, the 2nd Tuesday morning (7a-?) of each month is Bagel Morning w/coffee. Panera Bread usually caters, yum! FYI... Bagel Morning...either on a Sesame or Blueberry bagel, spread it w/ a.) low-fat Honey Walnut Cream Cheese, or, b.) the low-fat Wild Blueberry Cream Cheese. Pair it w/Panera's very fresh aromatic coffee, it is tdf! I do recommend trying to get ur workout done before eating, tho.I do luv my 24/7 Planet Fitness hours, too. It's always nice to know it's open just in the case I have nothing else to do. Unfortunately as of today, due to the Covid-19 quarantine, everything has been closed for the past 6 weeks. Don't know for how long all the gyms will stay closed, and/or, what kind of new changes will be in effect at the gym (and everywhere else.) No doubt that Planet Fitness will do everything required of them to follow regulations and to keep everyone safe.I know this was a long & boring review, but its still a long & boring quarantine right now, too. But, I believe in Planet Fitness & what they stand for. Everyone should have fun & feel comfortable and happy while they exercise at any gym. No one should ever put up w/nor feel judged, intimidated, fearful, rediculed, embarrassed, ashamed, or bullied if they want to work out at a gym, or ANYWHERE for that fact. Oh, and, I do appreciate one PF dress code rule of "no tank tops" for reasons apparent.Thank you for reading my review if u read it this far. I'm sure you will like this Portsmouth, VA Planet Fitness if u decided to ever visit. As for me, it's the first gym I've ever really looked forward to going. In general, what I really appreciate is that 99% of the other members respect ur space & privacy. Not to seem snobbish, but I mind my own business. I listen to my music & prefer to just concentrate on my work out. It's my time to relax when can get away and I hit the gym. Its nice.

This place is starting to get annoying with not opening up on time. Monday they opened up late and today they still had not opened up by 5:10 am so we left. Why have set hours if your staff will not be on time, wish you guys would go back to 24/7 with the guys who are reliable at least me and my wife could get a good quality workout in without being rushed.

I like it. You go in and do your own thing without being judged. They have trainers if you need guidance, but no pressure. Besides I've been in a lot of fitness clubs in my life and you definitely can't beat $10 a month.

They won't let you join without a savings or checking account I prefer not to have one so they won't give me a membership so I am thoroughly displeased with them

It's a good place to get your workout people friend and the staff are very friendly keep up the good work
