decent place with plenty of cardio equipment and free weights. problem is it gets way too crowded during peak hours, which is especially bad during COVID times. Had to constantly wait on using squat racks and bench press stations, dumbbells area was out of the question unless you don't mind standing shoulder to shoulder with another person. If your gym hours are off peak hours then this would be a great place for the price, if you gym during peak hours I highly suggest look elsewhere.I made the mistake of committing to a year long membership, had to spend over $180 to cancel my membership ($50 annual fee + $11 monthly for one year), make sure you know what you are signing up for.

It’s not cool to strip peoples weights without their permission. This place must be held accountable. I hope someone from Crunch is reading these comments and taking appropriate action to fix the situation. Totally uncool to endanger a minors life by taking the weight off his barbell without his permission. We need accountability.

February of 2020 - DO NOT SIGN UP FOR A TRAINER UNTIL YOU READ THIS. I do like the gym membership and the classes offered. I never had a gym membership before and after signing up for 2 weeks they said there was a complimentary 30 minutes consultation with a trainer. I was thinking just sitting down and going over which gym equipment to use etc. Long story short I ended with an intense exercise and they pressured you to to sign up with the trainer. Your membership jumps from 35/month to $120/month. You have to sign up as a 6 months commitment. It takes about a week before you can sign up with your trainer again. And after one try, I realize it wasn't for me and I could not get out of the commitment. There was a 7 day grace period I was told. It takes about a week to schedule with the trainer. How could I cancel within that one week grace period? The trainer's schedule is not within the app. You have to contact them directly and work around their schedule. I thought it would integrate with their gym app. Just not what I expected and zero flexibility. Seeing that I only used the service once, they offered no discounted rate etc. I paid the rest of my commitment months and canceled my membership. I will tell you I will never step into another Crunch Gym for life. As even buying a car or a house you have 30 days to return. You're telling me a gym membership, you give me 7 days? Imagine they won’t negotiate the PT sessions. I could have spent way over that and be a loyal member. Nope.Updates - 04/16/2021 still never to sign up for crunch again and happily at the ymca!Update - 10/12/2021 Boyfriend asked which gym to sign up in Weymouth. Guess which gym I told him not to sing up for? So that’s two people that they lost business and could have made way more than the money they originally took. Honestly I would had let them charge me the gym membership throughout Covid to help keep them running. But nope.

I’ve done Personal Training with Joey for about a year now and I can’t say enough good things. The personal training staff are professional and know what they are doing and always so friendly. Jake has helped me with any issues I have had quickly and always been super helpful. Would recommend.

Great vibe. Normal gym. Bathrooms sometimes smell for a while or the countertops are wet and sometimes barbells of the right weight are hard to find. But they show up again or you can use a similar weight. Equipment are usually in working order.

This gym is horribly mismanaged. Overall dirty with broken equipment. Every afternoon you have a bunch of middle school kids who come in and act as if this is their playground. It is dangerous for the people around them as well as themselves with no experience lifting free weights. On top of that the personal trainers/class instructors act as if they can come and take over whatever you’re using/doing whenever they want. This is not a comfortable or enjoyable place to get a workout in.

I was overcharged on the personal training sessions. I only wanted to try a month, after dealing with some serious health issues and stress, as a motivator to get back into the gym regularly. I always only intended to do the first 4 weekly sessions, which I told the trainer and he said that was fine, just cancel before the next month of sessions starts. The week of my last session I called to try and cancel and they said I couldn't do it over the phone but to come in for my next session and they could cancel the next month no problem. I ended up being charged for the next month and when I came in, they said there was nothing they could do. Granted, I blame their corporate office just as much because the issue was sent to them as well. All they would say is I signed a contract so they are not required to refund me for the sessions i never received. Crunch isnt the only shady company that does things like this. I've had issues with cancellations at other gyms before and if you search online you'll find many similar stories. These large company chains DO NOT CARE about their customers or your life situation. They only want your money. I ended up only having 3 sessions total and was charged almost $300. It was supposed to be $140 for 4 sessions. Are they going to admit any fault on their part or poor communication? Nope. Do they care at all to try and make it right? Nope.At this point Im not sure I'll ever join a large gym like this again. It was just toxic at a time in my life when I needed positive changes. Make sure you read your contracts in full, no matter what an employee might say, make sure the policies are very clearly explained and that what they say matches whats in writing. If they can take advantage of you to get a buck, they absolutely will...also, their equipment isnt that great compared to other gyms I've been to, its super overcrowded, and the music is way too loud when they run certain classes. I honestly think its worth it to pay extra at a smaller gym or YMCA or buy your own equipment because at the end of the day these people don't seem to have an ounce of humanity, not even during a pandemic when they know folks are struggling. All they understand is greed.Update: I messaged the email they provided in their reply and never received assistance. It's all for show. They respond with that message to make it look like they care and it's a misunderstanding...it's not. I stand by everything I said.

Whatever you do DO NOT sign up for personal training here! Terrible service! I trained here for over a year with Adam and he was amazing. He left two weeks ago and no one will even call me back to schedule a session. I had to call in SEVEN times before anyone would even pay attention to me. Jake, the manager for PT, told me I had to continue paying for sessions after Adam left & totally guilt tripped me, saying that it would get him in trouble if I didn't. Of course I didn't want anyone to get in trouble so I agreed - boy did I make a mistake! Now they won't return my calls or schedule me for any sessions, even though all my money has already been spent. Jake texted me once & when I responded with my availability he never texted back. I had to call in ONCE AGAIN to make an appointment. And I swear the only reason anyone even listened to me that final time was because I told the front desk employee the situation.I would have been happy to continue working out there indefinitely but their incredibly terrible customer service, particularly from Jake and Moe, have made it so that as soon as my paid for sessions expire - I am cancelling my membership and never returning. I thought it was a good gym, turns out I had the luck of apparently working with the only competent trainer they had. No wonder he left! If you are serious about training, and expect at least a modicum of customer service, this gym is not the place to go. Please let me serve as a lesson for you and stay away!

I’ve worked with Jake since July 2021 and it has been fantastic!!! He is a great personal trainer. He has been so flexible with the billing schedule as long we communicate about it beforehand, which is super helpful. I feel like I have learned so much about health and fitness thanks to Jake and I’m so grateful for that!! I can’t say enough good things and recommend Crunch enough!!
