I got a huge surprise today when I was billed for my April dues, even though the gym has been closed for two weeks that I already paid for. My family and I have been unable to work for the last two weeks, but the owner said that I should be glad to help her make payroll. Now I will have a overdraft charge plus the bill for something I can’t use. There is a special place for someone like her.

I am very glad the gym is open! The staff were all masked up (for the most part.) The only exception to this rule seemed to be one of the personal trainers who must be above the rules. The place was not packed with people, which was a blessing because none of the patrons (except myself) had masks on. I understand not wearing a mask if you are dong a cardio or HIIT workout...but goodness gracious people, have some consideration for the folks around you. If you are doing a weight training routine or are walking around the gym among others, there is no reason not to wear a mask. Sure, they are not stylish...but they are the responsible choice when in a closed building together. Members were wiping down machines with easy to access sanitation supplies so that was good. During the hour I was there, I did not witness any staff wiping anything down. A few of the weight machines I used in my routine have disappeared from the floor. This was obviously to create space for the HIIT area. No biggie. The cardio machines have been tagged for use by day i.e. Blue tagged machines can be used only on whatever day, Yellow the next, etc. Also, no biggie because the place was not packed. If you have any carry in items, you will have no secure place to store them, not even your car keys. Overall, I am just VERY glad to be back at the gym even if it means I will need to alter my workout times to avoid unmasked members.

Terrible customer service. I was in Reno temporarily and left Nevada back in March. I tried to cancel my membership then but was unable to do so as the gym was forced to shut down due to Covid-19.Even though they kept their staff employed and charged all members for the month of April, they did not accept phone calls allowing members to cancel their membership. I tried calling multiple times every week and was not able to get a hold until May 29th when they re-opened (2.5 months after I left Reno). Now, I was finally able to cancel my membership but they are still going to charge me for the month of June because I did not cancel the membership 15 days before the next month membership start date even though they didn't make it possible to do so.Been a member of many gyms and this is by far the worst I've experienced regarding customer service.

Do NOT go to this gym. The "owner" of this establishment double charged my friend 2x which was over 600$ and they have not refunded any of the charges and they still are trying to charge him. The "KIDS CLUB" was poorly handled and had no child nor staff wearing a mask for the COVID procedures when I went in there the other day. Trying to "quit" your membership is impossible and not worth the headache nor the price you are locked into. The owner has a high turn rate on employees and thinks the best way to handle things is with "margaritas." I won't be going back to this gym again for fear of my children being exposed to COVID, and I was forced to give a star rating but trust me, I would have given 0 stars for this.

This isn’t just my favorite gym, this is one of my favorite businesses I’ve ever dealt with in my time being alive. The customer service, professionalism, and homey feel of this gym is nothing you’ll ever see somewhere else. The members are so nice, and I will be a member for the rest of my life. I’ve been a member for at least 7 years, I’ve recommended all my friends here, my employees go here, and will continue to send people here.I seriously cannot believe some of these bad reviews. Most of them seem like those “Karen”’s that are upset with stuff that were people that asked way too much of a business and didn’t get it because they don’t understand common sense. Like “one star cause they closed during covid”... lol. The owner will work with you and take care of you at any time. I recommend you all go there.

It's a full service gym with the money going into the spa (supposedly the owner's favorite place). Inside it's a little lackluster, has been slowly being spruced up, but still kind of dated. I had initially prepaid for a full year + received a few months free, but then they instituted a monthly towel fee. I asked the front desk at the time if I'd have to pay it and she had no idea. I didn't hear anything about it but then when my renewal was up they asked for the "past due" balance of the fee in addition to the upcoming dues. I decided against it, letting it lapse. It was nice to have a 24 hr gym so close by but I can travel a little bit for better options. And for a gym that doesn't have any added fees.I just had an experience today that confirmed I had made the right decision in not renewing. I recently realized that I lost my favorite pair of board shorts (not sure where!) and and dropped by thinking it may have been left here after a swim session. I was basically brushed off, saying anything here longer than a month is "thrown out". He didn't even bother to check even when I asked him to just repeating it would have been thrown out; that isn't customer service. 👎

I love this gym. Reading the negative reviews others have written was shocking. I have gone in at different times during the day and have always been met with courtesy from the staff. If I did have questions and they didn’t know the answer they were honest and upfront that they weren’t sure and proceeded to find another staff member that could help me. I had no issues signing up, or getting the run around as some people have mentioned. Although it was difficult to make it down during the office hours due to my schedule, it wasn't unreasonable and I was able to make it happen. I have been a member for 3 years and have no intention of changing gyms again. It’s open 24 hours, has a pool, sauna, steam room, lockers, towels, and plenty of equipment. Who could ask for more? Get a guest pass and see for yourself- it’s awesome!

By far the best gym I've ever used. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming. From front desk, spa, all the way to the custodians. Facility is always clean and there is always plenty of equipment no matter the time and day. I've been on and off with my membership due to life and situations, but I always keep coming back to Sports West. I wouldn't trade them for anything.

One of the best gym facilities I vote as #1 on the top ten list to join or work out at with fantastic friendly 😀 staff there to greet you with a smile 😃 when you walk 🚶 inside. A very nice clean facility with lots of fitness equipment, classes and activities well worth your time and 💰. …

Front desk and child care staff are warm and friendly. Many of the AV features on the cardio equipment are broken and I often start my workout only to have to switch machines. The soap dispensers have fallen on my feet twice in the shower-don’t put any pressure on them, and although the gym can’t really help this, the clientele watch FOX News in the bathroom and in the cardio area, and have loud conversations about lib-tards and immigrants. I stay for the awesome childcare staff and spin classes.
