Shamefully Poor Management and Operation. Visited from out of town; specifically asked front desk: "Are Lanes Available for Public Swim?" Front Desk said yes two of four lanes are available. Paid $21 to swim. Five minutes into my workout, Spouts West personal said, "I am going have to ask you to leave. Need lanes for a class.. Okay, would you refund my $21 for five minutes of swimming.Sport West Management said: "I kn ow it sucks but you are out of luck " Shamefully Unprofessional is an understatement.. Asked three times would you refund my $21 day fee -- got nothing but a stupid blank stare.Fitness industry is vitally important to our well being. Sport West Athletic Club has no reason to exist in Reno's business fitness forum. Please do not do business with such unethical operation.

This gym is a godsend.24 hrs. Great equipment and plenty of freeweights. The jungle gym, complete with plenty of TRX, is great to mix up my workout. The new bathroom remodel is going to be a welcome renovation.Finishing a workout with a quick shower and steam has helped me lose weight and tone like I'm back in high school.Side note: there are no "muscleheads" dropping plates and taking over multiple benches. The average member is a bit older, very friendly, and considerate.

Be aware, if you post a negative review the owner doesn't like, she'll rip your membership out from under you. As in, literally walk in one day to workout, and be told you've been cancelled due to "negative social media post." This, in spite of a sign posted in the gym stating they, "Welcome any comments you may have to help us improve our classes and services." A couple days later, I got a letter stating I'd been cancelled, reason given: "Numerous complaints received about my negative review." This seems to be their go-to reason for arbitrarily cancelling memberships as another member received that exact same reason after he complained about something. And lastly, reason given by membership: Owner upset that I felt she was pocketing fee increase and not updating the outdated, dirty gym. Hmmm, maybe pick one reason and stick with it. Oh, and not one, but TWO glowing reviews given by your own yoga teacher below (separate accounts I guess) stating how awesome the group fitness instructors are and how great the gym is kind of seem a little fishy, ya think?

This gym revoked my membership without notice or reason. I take my workouts seriously and go in the morning to be mostly alone. My physique shows I have been in a gym for over a decade. There are a few conclusions I can jump to for the childish behavior as a person of color. Glad it happened as I am at the greatest place now, next to my home.

They are honestly pretty inattentive here, you can walk up to the front desk and not even get eye contact from their front staff. I've timed it and they can go 6 minutes with me waiting for someone to attendant to making a smoothie when three people are behind the desk without an acknowledgment. I wouldn't say they are friendly, there are multiple people working there that won't say a word to you while changing your locker to car keys. Not to mention this gym is continuously full, no guests after 10pm, machines can be broken for a long time before getting fixed, and a lot of the machines need to be greased. All of which wouldn't be so bad if they were nicer to their customers and asked about your day and followed the 5 feet rule of asking "Hello, May I assist you with anything" to those within 5 feet of them instead of ignoring people that are directly in front of them, like they are waiting for someone else working to attend to you and like their paying customers are a bother. People are spending their money here out of many places to workout in Reno, I think their staff forgets that, you think that would include a hello when you come in.Overall sadly I would currently NOT recommend this gym to anyone. I would say to try juice box yoga, Mesa rim rock climbing and gym, or one of the many other gyms in Reno.

The Instructors are phenomenal! There is quite an array and abundance of classes. Some of the Instructors have been there over 20 years. I just love all the people that go to Sports West and some of them have been going for 20 years or even longer. Every one is so nice, feels like family there.

Love this gym. Open 24 hours. Always a treadmill free for me. Showers, pool, sauna = awesome. Love the daycare and the ability to have my kids somewhere they are having fun while I get my workout in. Haven't dine the workout classes much yet but look forward to doing so in the future.

Staff on shift from 7pm-10pm (Eddie) was very unprofessional, extremely rude, not knowledgeable about anything. I called him after leaving personal belongings at the gym and accident and he was very disrespectful and hung up in my face. When I called back said that he found it and was mailing it to me. How rude is that? Seemingly this is a problem for other customers as well. I will not be visiting here again.

Okay facility and gym equipment, but be prepared to watch Fox News. If you change the channel expect conflict. The owner refeuses to address this, even when other legitimit sporting events are available, Fox and Friends >> ESPN. After a certain point, I'd prefer my gym to not be politicized.
