I agree with Karly Campbell they decided that they wanted to cancel my husband membership and he was the add on to the membership as I was the primary person once they wanted to cancel my husband I canceled mine too because they had no right to cancel my husband . Couple years later after I was told that he can't come back but I was able to do so. I went through the whole process of resigning up then asked how much it was going to cost to add my husband if he wanted to sign up again they gave me the price I didn't add my husband at this point that day because I wanted to talk to husband first . A couple days later now I'm not allowed to use the gym without any explanation as to why when I canceled when they canceled my husband I was told that I was able to resign if I wanted. This gym is a total joke. Fitness connection in Sparks is nice 10 a month has a pool staff is very nice . Only thing that is Fitness connection isn't open 24 hours but they are open 7 days a week . There is no towel service like sports west and no coffee. For the friendliness and feeling like your at home when you get inside Fitness connection I don't care about no coffee and I bring my own towel . This sports west staff is rude they all seem so unhappy to be there upon check-in the guests the monthly dues are high. I am disappointed myself. I wish these casinos around here would let me use their pool for a monthly charge.

While it a bit mature in places, it has plenty of equipment with lots of variety between machines and functional training. The custodians work extremely hard and often to make the space clean for patrons more than any other gym I have seen.

There continues to be not a single person in that building working out that is not maskless. The typical response from the owner "we are enforcing by having signs...etc." No. Enforcing the mask policy would means that you would actually remind patrons to wear masks and all your employees wear masks (which they were not yesterday). As a physician who is currently completely swamped with covid, thanks a lot.Edit: Sportswest is SO defensive they cancelled my membership due to a bad review. Thank you. That was on my to do list this weekend as I joined another gym yesterday of much higher quality, cleanliness and people (including employees) were wearing masks. By the way, clean your pool and fix the filter! No one enjoys swimming through hair balls and pieces of toilet paper.

Haven't been there yet. Shopping around today to find a place for swimming. I hadH some questions after visiting on-line. And let me tell you, Emma was very helpful, polite. She answered all my questions in a curious and professional manner. Pretty sure this will be my spot. Thanks Emma.

4.5 stars. I was in Reno for work and had an early check out but very late flight. I wanted to go hiking in Tahoe but wanted to shower and rest before my flight home-- this place was perfect. For $22 (July 2022 price), I was able to get a day guest pass, which came with fresh, clean towels. I used the shower facilities and rested for a bit in the spacious Lockeroom. They even had some hairdryers in there. They were open late and this was only about 10 minutes from the airport-- so after the shower I still had time to grab something to eat (try the Thai place in the same shopping center!), and was at the airport in plenty of time. The one comment here-(and the reason for 4.5 stars)-the decor is very outdated - I felt like I came in to shower but went into a time warp!

I really love this gym and it improves as time goes. But the free weights are so out of date and some have different handles, and things added that throws heavy lifting off. I hope they upgrade their free weight or at least get them all the same. It's most weight from 40 to 70

Great gym and not too crowded. Friendly staff, great childcare and reasonably priced, particularly if you sign up for 15 months at a time.

When this gym closed cuz of covid DeeDee the owner didn't suspend payment of members. I pay yearly it's 1500 a year for myself and my husband ALOT!! So we paid for the 2 months they were closed then DeeDee said on the web page in response to people asking why we are still getting charged: people should be happy to pay my staffs salary during this time. Yikes 😬 I personally will never give Sports West ie DeeDee another penny!!

They don't honor guest passes that members have paid for. Why would someone pay extra money for guest passes that are not honored? This is bad business. Other gyms in town honor guest passes.
