Gold's Gym Richardson is a spacious gym located in Richardson Plaza. The gym boasts a robust selection of clean, well-maintained equipment and plenty of free weights. Go to 24 hour fitness instead. Got robbed from the Plano gold's gym and they didn't care. Then hail damaged the roof and they permanently closed the gym and asked everyone to move to Richardson. I canceled my account. Would never recommend Gold's gym to anyone.

Gold's Plano was literally God's gift to mankind. This place is nice but incredibly tight fisted on letting friends visit for even one day. Lifetime gives you 12 a year. Total trash to pay $15 for one visit when I have paid $40 a month for 8 freaking years

This gym is clean and has everything you need. I was a long-time lifetime member, and I prefer this particular Gold's location. The negative reviews are hilarious to me. It's a gym..Positive minds have positive results.

This is a pretty cool gym. I will admit I came here reluctantly as the Gold's on Preston was damaged severely in a storm and this was the next available locatiom. In any event the gym is always clean and has alot of places to park. There's new equipment and enough space so I don't feel like I'm crowded when I work out. I'm really seeing results since I started training with one of their trainers Austin B. Usually I hate trainers cause they try to guilt you into buying sessions. With Austin however it was totally a no pressure situation. He took the time to understand my challenges to becoming stronger, fitter, better. Long story short I've seen better results over the past few mths than I have in the past few years. I am by no means athletic but he's got me benching and squatting like I never thought I could. Pretty good experience I must say! 😊

Soooooooo disappointed. They CHARGE for their spin classes now??? I've been a member of Gold's gym for 10 years now, and their spin classes have always been included in your monthly membership fee. Now, they have "upgraded" and are charging 45.00 every 2 weeks ON TOP of my monthly membership fee for spin classes. And that is the only option you have!!! They don't give you the option to take the old, free spin classes OR upgrade to the new, you only have the option to pay to spin. So, I can either pay 1200.00 a year for something they offered me for free just a few months ago, or I can't take the class?? Unbelievable...

F Better Business Bureau rating! This is a quote from the BBB website: "BBB has identified a pattern of complaints from consumers that allege sales misrepresentation from Gold's Gym employees. Specifically, a high volume of complaints allege that Gold's Gym leads consumers to believe that they can cancel at anytime. When these consumers subsequently try to cancel their membership, they are denied and continue to be charged because of a clause in the membership agreement." This is EXACTLY what happened to me.Be VERY cautious of signing a contract here. Gold's Gym has an F Better Business Bureau rating for a reason. Deception is a standard sales practice. I asked for a month-to-month cancel anytime membership which the salesperson (Mitchell Snow) advised was the agreement in his computer screen. I was asked to sign the digital keypad to execute the agreement which I did. Come to find out it was a YEAR LONG CONTRACT. Management (Mario Tarquinio) was not bothered by the deceptive practice but instead insisted it was my fault for trusting that Mitchell was being honest with me:Do yourself a huge favor and find a local gym without institutionalized fraudulent sales practices.

Without a doubt one of the cleanest gyms I've ever been to. I'm very impressed that they have 3 squat racks and even a deadlift platform. They also have plenty of functional training equipment such as kettlebells and bumper plates. The only thing I'm a little bummed about is the rules: they don't allow dropping weights, chalk, or grunting. But hey, can't have it all. Overall, not bad at all for a commercial gym!

Group exercise room is far hotter than rest of the gym, floor gets slippery from humidity, horrible acoustics. Great instructors but I am canceling my membership. My first two Gold gym locations just closed up so this is my third location and it is not convenient either. Very disappointed in Gold's gym.

Attempted to cancel the membership and personal training. Was promised a full refund. Have yet to see any of the refund and was charged a membership fee after cancellation. I have been a member of Golds in the past and have never received customer service of this poor quality. I was even told by Yolanda, in customer service, that there was no manager to talk with. I'm not sure what has happened to Golds but I'm glad I canceled before I could experience any more bad service. Still waiting on my refund Mario...

I am extremely disappointed in the Gold's Gym organization. I was a member of Gold's Gym in Plano, TX for several years and a very happy client. However, on 24 Mar 16 hail took out the Gold's Gym in Plano and clients were referred to the Gold's Gym in Richardson. Going to Richardson and back would eat the majority of my workout time, so I called Gold's Gym in Richardson and they offered to suspend my account for 6-months until the Plano gym was reopened.Despite this conversation, I kept receiving charges for several months and it took two more calls to Gold's Gym in Richardson to actually get the account suspended and the membership fees charged for a closed gym refunded. From there, all was good until I looked at my credit card statement this month and saw Gold's Gym membership charges again. I know the Gold's Gym in Plano isn't open yet since I drive by there, so I called Gold's Gym in Richardson to figure out why. From there, I was told that Gold's Gym corporate office decided to close the Plano gym permanently. In addition, at the same time the Gold's Gym corporate office decided to reactivate all suspended memberships for the Gold's Gym in Plano since apparently someone felt that people should just go to another location regardless of convenience or notification. Both decisions were made without notifying or consulting with their clients, so the only way I learned of both decisions was after seeing the charges. The Gold's Gym Richardson office told me they could cancel my account (which I did based upon their treatment of clients and lack of notification/consultation); however, they told me I had to call Customer Service to get those charges refunded. This is very disappointing since Gold's Gym Plano made me feel like a valued client and Gold's Gym Richardson and the Gold's Gym corporate office made me feel like just another payment.
