I opened an account because my kids got the summer pass. I paid for one month. My annual fee was due in July. I asked specifically when I was about to go on a two week vacation if I should cancel my membership before I left or not because once the kids stopped the summer program it would be cheaper to pay for a family plan at another gym. I was told as long as I cancelled the membership before the 10th of the month, there would be no fees. I asked it twice even stating the annual fee specifically. On the third I was charged the annual fee of $40. I called to get the charge removed and cancel my membership and the manager Desiree Arnold of the Orange Ave Roanoke, VA facility said she was sorry I was told wrong, but it’s in the contract and therefore would not be refunded. I was to be reassured that they would further train people so it wouldn’t happen to someone else. Now that is poor managing by my standards and I can say I will never step foot in a company that does not stand behind their customer after an employee told them wrong.

Staff friendly Machines not bad however no schedule onlineI am from DC area but have used PF in VA,, Texas and a few other places including Roanoke, Texas outside Ft Worth.Showers at Vinton do not compare well with other locations. Public information not good at VintonVinton the only location where I was victim of thefts.Wish I could give a higher score but schedule important to me as I visit son and family in Vinton so do not use this club regularly.

I have a account here at this location it’s not all that clean the people are okay they could be nicer they will charge your card twice a month and not even say anything until you catch it I hope they are not taking people card information home cause I’m seeing a lot fraudulent charges from planet fitness in my bank account I don’t trust this location at all and will be going to another location I trust with my bank information
