This gym has everything I need. I don't feel out of place or stared at my anyone. Very diverse crowd comes here. Cheap for what you get, $20 a month is what I pay and I'm satisfied

Cold and like all places these days they seem to think the sound they think of as music has to be played at a level loud enough to require hearing protection.Staff is friendly but do not expect them to observe or say anything to the slobs that talk on there phones or the ones that do not clean and wipe equipment. Nor do the ever say anything to the work boot jeans wearer's.As for the much vaunted pizza or bagel thing. If your time to get to the gym is mid day forget it. They could not care less about you, they are all about morning and night people.

UPDATE: I was contacted personally by the owner and he apologized for the incident. I appreciate that contact was actually made and my request was heard. Additionally the manager whom I spoke to on that day called and apologized and my account was refunded. That was very kind. Thank you for hearing my request and responding.(Previous 1 star review)The gym itself is new and nice but I give it a one star for it's overall management. I have been a loyal paying customer for the last year. I have made friends with the employees. Unfortunately, I received no warning and my account was charged to renew my annual membership. My husband and I are moving and planned to cancel beforehand and were completely blindsided by this annual charge. We went in the gym to cancel the monthly membership and ask for a refund a day after the annual payment posted and they said they couldn't refund us. They referred to the contract we signed which was void because they did not charge us on the date they stated in our contract. We tried to be reasonable but the manager wasn't willing to budge. He says he will contact the "higher ups" but didn't tell me any of their information. I will be following up to see what the higher ups say but I cannot recommend this gym based on it's management practices. I've heard much better things about the Lake Orion location.
