I love how the gym is big, spacious and plenty of equipment to choose from. The gym is always clean. The staff is very friendly, and they make you feel welcomed. I can finally say I actually love going to the gym to workout.

CFF is very family friendly and has a wonderful childcare area where I can drop my daughter off. The staff always recognize her and are happy to see her; I can tell she is in good hands. The facilities are great and I always feel like a get a good workout in. The Crossfit area in particular is great. My husband loves the BodyFit classes and sometimes takes our daughter to swim in the pool.

I bought one month online for $40 to see if it's worth being a member of California family fitness. I found they have just basic machines, nothing advance, and it's not worth the monthly membership.. They have a very problematic policy for contact agreements. I believe it is not worth it at all because They want me to sign a contract for 12 months!!! I visit two separate gyms and compared them with 24 Hours Fitness and Lifetime Fitness. I found they have better machines. Also, they have a good deal to be members with them; they are very flexible. I don't know why California Family Fitness has only an agreement for 12 months. also it's expensive . They don't care about customers !!

While I sympathise with the difficulties this business faces, it doesn't absolve them of their basic responsibilities if they continue to charge their customers. I sent them a cancelation request in mid-June yet they continue to charge me. Nobody answers email and nobody picks up the phone but they do find the time to take your money. That's fraud. Also, it's worth noting the fake reviews this location is getting. Really makes you confident in their business practices, doesn't it.Update: After four months, 8 emails, two chargebacks, and six calls, I was finally able to get them to cancel my membership.

every thing is how i like my gym to be.except two things:1. there are giant ceiling fans above the main areas that really work against your body trying to sweat. the powerful constant blow of air from above over your skull and neck and torso is not a good environment for a full sweaty workout. it cools you down and gives you headaches.2. there is only 1 punching bag in the whole building and a short one which is not good for leg work at all.elk grove has at least 3 in different sizes.so i see a discrimination against marshal artists here. which i believe is not intentional.

I love california family fitness, the reason why I signed up for this gym even if i have another membership with another local gym that is much cheaper but after today I lost my interest on this specific location as far as customer service goes. There is a reason why it's called FAMILY fitness, you welcome other members to have the experience of the gym. I usually use my points for a guest pass and I've used it in natomas, roseville, and rocklin locations and have no issues until today when front desk guy with glasses never gave me an option instead wants me to download some kidna app for points which I don't even know and not caring to show. I'm assuming he doesn't know either. If there is going to be a point system and advertise it as much thru notifications of email, like blowing it literally at least be consistent of the use in all locations. In other calfit locations, the ones I have mentioned above. I never had an issue and there are times they would give complimentatry work out within family members but for some reason this location didn't have the capacity to carry what CUSTOMER SERVICE is all about and what california FAMILY fitness GYM stands for. The guy with the glasses just wanted to go on his way with the computer use either too busy doing homework or other things rather than helping customers that are checking in. He had the stance of just want go on his way like didnt offer any alternatives knowing that the member is in need of a work out and has a day schedule to fulfill. Having this terrible experience defeats all the purpose of cal fit. It's terrible because it suppose to promote mental and physical health.I spoke to the manager Brian in regards of the issue and has always been helpful. The great thing about this gym is that having a manager who has good leadership, the only matters now is how this should be implemented in all staff members. Not everyone have this capability. I understand covid had affected businesses but at least try to go above and beyond and if you can't then don't work.

Only quarrel is that disinfecting is not happening. I am at the gym every morning right when they open and the machines are dirty, mats are dirty, weights are dirty, everything is dirty. Pullies for resistance machines are worn down and overused, need replacing asap! With covid I expect the equipment to actually be clean, at least clean enough that when I wipe it I am not getting a whole disinfecting wipe black. I understand people need to wipe down their equipment but staff and Cal fit in general needs to do a better job at making sure we are safe while working out. Not just from covid but the germs that linger from other diseases. If I am sworn into a contract for a year and risking my health and my daughters health to come workout, and paying a lot of money to have a membership, I expect the equipment not to be old and dirty.

They are trying to accommodate new and existing members by placing their workout equipment outside under a huge tent. It seems to be working. They have some apparel for sale in the lobby which was great 👍. The only downside is the membership rates. A little too steep for a Sacramento area-only gym. The Staff is great . …

The gym has a large area and multiple machines and follows the preventive safety procedures and all the workers are cooperative, and one of the things that made me feel most comfortable is that the bathrooms are very clean compared to other branchesevery thing is how i like my gym to be.

Every staff member is very respectful and they really care about their members. Everything is clean and easy to get to. I enjoy the pool and my kids really enjoy the kids klub. I'm very happy with Cal Fit.
