I would not recommend this gym to anyone. When joining they rush you through the process and not mention any contracts or term periods. When I wanted to cancel, they charged me 300$ early cancellation fee. Trust me, this is their business model. The name of the employee? Brian.

The customer service and staffing at this place is the worst I’ve ever seen. They honestly do not care about members or making sure people are happy with the experience. I cancelled my membership due to the pandemic during a time the clubs were closed. Didn’t see continued charges so assumed everything was good. Then in November they started charging again. I didn’t notice, and then dropped in July to reconsider. Apparently my membership has been charged for the last 9 months. They basically called me liar and refused to remedy the situation. They offered two months free regardless of the fact that I didn’t go to the club once during that year. Corporate offices are worse than the club, so good luck with that. I’ll be taking care of the charges with my bank. I’ll take my business elsewhere. Never again

New facility. For COVID, they have an outside tent . The pool, where I spend all my time, is GREAT. It's outdoor, close to the locker rooms so you don't have to deal with cold temperatures in the winter, three lanes and a Jacuzzi off to the side. Reservations required for a lane, which seems to be working really well. Staff is awesome. Locker rooms are clean, well stocked. I'm glad I came over to Cal Fit. You couldn't pay me to go back to 24 Hour.

Went in for tour. Most of facility is nice, clean and didn't appear too crowded. The showers were seriously funky. Could smell that stale mildew smell and the grout is a totally different color. Not a clean place to shower.Had an offer for discount through work and was excited. Then they start telling me about the "extra charges" to use this equipment or that equipment. When I asked, "since we're pricing this out piecemeal, what is the discount for the showers being too disgusting to use?" I was told they'll have the janitor go clean it, but not reducing for that.So they will add charges, but not waive them. It's not a full package, despite having the highest prices for a gym in Sacramento. On the other hand, if you enjoy paying 2-3 times more than comparable gyms and showering in mildew; this may be your spot.

This is a really comfortable, easy-going, family friendly gym. It's rarely if ever crowded. And the people who do go here are more laid back and respectful than I've found at most gyms.

I am really upset because my membership was over on April but due to covid-19 I went until August to canceled exactly my billing period, thay charged $150 for the monthly payment and fees of maintenance i guess. Anyway, i asked the girl in the arden location that wasn't fair for me that they will charge if I was canceling and she said that I would be refund, something that never happens and the 8th of this month they charged me $99.99 dollars!!!!! What is wronggggg???? I need my money back because this is insane. I am having economic problems because covid-19 and you guys just took money that I need to survive. I need somebody take care of my issue pleaseeee.

This is a newer location with large floor space divided into machines, weights, cardio, etc. Machines and equipment are new and there are many more of them so you don't have to wait when it's busy. Locker rooms are nice and bright. Locks are mechanical and easy to use. Some day they say they will have a pool too.

***3 month update: I’d still give this place 5 stars. It’s never too crowded, the equipment selection and quality is great, overall it’s a very clean facility (exception mentioned below), and they cater well to a diverse crowd. This seems to be great place for all types of gym-goers, and I enjoy coming here :)My only complaint is how many women are allowed to just wear a sports bra and then sit and sweat all over the weight machines. It seems really unsanitary and gross. I feel like guys would be asked to put a shirt on so not sure why they selectively allow this? I know people also sweat through clothes but still, eww. They have sanitary wipes available everywhere though, so just make good use of them!!

One of the better locations, newest equipment and actually has kids activities (not all of them do) but still not as many as you would think. Not as slammed during peak times (who knows how long that will last) and last week an unusual number if stations were down for repair so we will see if it's a pattern. I will say that an unusual number of people "camp out" on a station even in between sets and gym ettiqute (return weights) isn't being enforced. Staff may need time to meld.
