No pool, which was promised. Classes regularly have a revolving door of instructors, no consistency. I heard that they get scheduled at other locations and cancel on the class they were scheduled to teach at this location, so a sub comes in or the class is totally cancelled! Took my wife once for the sole purpose of attending a class. It was cancelled without prior notice! I chose not to pick up a tutoring session in order to get the wife to the gym, since we share a car... Missed out on enough money from that one session to pay for a month at the gym. Should have went in and charged then my tutoring fee!Promises, lack of follow through on the gyms part, and since we signed up for a year contract, we are stuck paying a $300 early cancellation fee if we want to go to a gym that offers a pool, non cancelled classes and charges about 25% less than here. As the old saying goes caveat emptor, buyer beware!

I joined calfit for 2 months, I had planned to take gym membership for 2 months only. The representative at the Watt avenue gym signed me up with an offer of 1 month free. I asked the representative if I can cancel anytime, he said yes, just notify one month before. I asked several times if there is any other fee, he did not mention anything. He quickly signed me up and the process was fast. Until today, when I contacted calfit to cancel my membership, just like the representative had said to contact one month before, I did today. I came to know that I require to pay 300$ !!!!!!! to cancel it. This is exact opposite of what the representative told me and I am shocked. He made it sound like its all easy and convenient and I can cancel anytime. Never mentioned about it being a 12 month commitment. I had asked him about this specifically if I can cancel anytime. And he clearly said yes. I am a college student, this is a total rip off. I was signed up with false information. The representatives here do not know or give out false information, which can affect people negatively. This is totally an unethical scheme to give false information and trap people.

You walk in and the front staff seem pretty overwhelmed like they don’t get any breaks. You ask to sign up and they make you wait because they don’t have sales reps ready? Last but not least older lady comes out and helps the folks who came in LAST..I used to love this place when I was a member in Natomas. I’ll send my dollars elsewhere Mr Manager who is giving out “discounts” because the pool is still being renovated; when really people leave from a bad experience especially when being told that the other folks came here before me as if I’m gonna argue with him.Hope everyone else’s experience was better, this was super sloppy. One out of five stars!

Tried this place out last weekend. The building used to be a Staples so it's pretty big. The facilities and machine are all brand new. The pool area is still being built though but was told it would be complete by summer. Really impressed. I'd definitely love to start coming here instead.

The new Watt club is amazing!...wonderful new machines, incredibly spacious, and very friendly and helpful staff. Really want to try Body Fit here because they have a dedicated area for it. This Club was definitely worth the wait! My only small issue---wish it was kept a little cooler temperature

I work out there three times a week. Today, I was told my membership was cancelled, even though I was never notified. The attendant then told me I couldn’t work out and had to return at 9am to speak with someone. I’ve experienced massive incompetence like this in several other locations. Here are a couple suggestions (management/ownership this is for you):1. Require the attendants to call management to resolve the situation (shocker, I know)l, and see the last point).2. Get my phone number and call me to resolve the situation instead of requiring me to come in.3. Let me workout knowing that I’m a customer that comes three times a week and that we’ll resolve it later today.4. Pay your employees more to eliminate incompetence.5. Fire the incompetent employees.6. And probably the most important, train and retrain your employees on how to provide exceptional customer service.Every day I go to the gym I can’t be confident that I’ll even be able to get in with all the membership issues, and lack of customer service. At some point the shiny machines and new facilities mean nothing. It is not that hard to provide at least acceptable customer service. Please get it together.UPDATE: Actually, the primary account holder did not cancel the contract and no written notification of cancellation was provided by that person to initiate the cancellation as just confirmed via telephone by corporate! The owner's reply below is false and a direct reflection of the poor management at this location who choose to shift blame instead of actually providing customer service, which reinforces the review above.

Great facility. A lot of great equipment and treadmills. I put in a request for a trap bar and in about two weeks they had one there! That was pretty awesome. Gym is clean and well maintained. Staff is really nice and the child day care staff are all really friendly. I cant wait for the pool to be finished. It's going to be pretty awesome during the summer! Keep up the great work.

Obviously this is a new place, so there is all new equipment. But the layout and vast amount of things you can do is awesome. They have 3 sections for child care: infants, toddlers and kids so no one gets trampled. Their locker rooms are impressive but for those of you that just want to drop your keys, they have a section of smaller lockers at the back in front of their group fitness rooms. And yes that’s plural, they have multiple group fitness rooms which is awesome. Overall, very excited to attend this gym.

We were very excited to hear of a new gym opening so close to our home. While there were delays during the construction process, the end result was completely worth it. Having a new clean gym makes it so much easier to motivate yourself to work out. The front desk staff is incredibly friendly, the facilities are sparkling clean. We are truly grateful for the added value to the neighborhood with this newest Cal Fit!

Some of the leg machines take days, weeks without functioning, how can they be left without service for so long. I had never seen a machine last for weeks with the sign out of service.Usually I workout with this machines in one of my leg days, but this mont I haven’t had the opportunity to use them
