I personally do not recommend this gym by any means for multiple reasons. This gym has hardly any equipment. Also, the staff members are extremely rude. When Covid hit they took advantage of members by jacking up prices yet didn’t even provide access to cardio equipment. They just commented they went down on prices, but they were charging $100 for the month, which was more than the initial cost. After going for a day I canceled my membership. My workout buddy also canceled over the phone since the guy who does the cancellation was unavailable. However, I still continued to get billed. When I emailed the company about this I received an extremely rude and unprofessional email from the business. I had also tried calling them four or five times prior to my email, but no one answered the phone. I was told they were going to dispute my charge I disputed with the bank. When you are that desperate for $20 from a one day member who canceled over the phone it really shows how much you’re suffering as a business.I wanted to support this local business, but their lack of professionalism, equipment, and the poor attitude from the employees put a bad taste in my mouth. I would highly recommend going to another spot, such as Stern’s, which is in the area, and has an owner who continuously buys new equipment to care for his members rather than this location where employees snap at you to get your attention and fight you on the process of canceling your membership. They keep commenting that if I read the agreement then we wouldn’t have had an issue, but when I tried to cancel in person they said the guy was not there to cancel our membership and would have to call us. Therefore, we had to cancel over the phone since they weren’t able to follow their own “protocol”. My friends cancellation went through, but obviously, mine didn’t. Read their responses and how my complaint was handled, and then tell me if you would want to do business with a company like this?

It’s a good gym. to the owner I would like to request if you could repair the knobs for the bench’s near the dumb bell racks so I can adjust the bench accordingly 3 bench’s are missing the knob. Last thing could you please repair the cable rope on the pulley machines, they are loose , thanks for adding a glute machine and fixing the leather padding for the leg machine in the back 👍.

Best gym in San Diego. There's plenty of equipment for both weights and cardio; friendly staff; a nutrition store; and affordable prices. I'm always recommending Boulevard Fitness to my friends.

I am very pleased with this gym's effective and productive workout sessions. They offered me a substantial price for their operation. With their due instruction, the coaches were very professional and made sure that my fitness target was achieved. Many thanks to you!

Do you want Covid? Come here! I was desperate to find a gym in my location so I decided to check out Boulevard Fitness. While I was never for the closing of Gyms due to Covid, I AM for mask wearing and common sense. First off...They only pretend to take your temperature. I've had my temperature taken enough times to know if they're actually using it. Second, there are signs that say "Keep your mask on at all times." and yet nearly no one has theirs on while walking around or using equipment. At one point an older man was having a coughing fit and everyone was just ignoring it. They don't enforce mask wearing either. IVE ASKED THEM TO. The kicker? They demand you put your mask on before leaving the gym. They don't want the general population to know that this place is a Covid factory. There's no limit to how many people can be in the gym at once. I made the mistake of going on a Sat afternoon. Every piece of equipment was being used. People were flat out stealing weights from each other. No one was wiping down equipment. IM NOT EXAGERRATING. This place should be shut down immediately. A friend of mine is in the hospital. We traced his infection back to the gym. Do not come here if you care about your health.

Closed for covid and then started charging my card without any warning of reopening. Shady af. You think when they see that someone hasn't visited their gym since 2019 they would stop charging or give the client a call....but no...instead they charged me for over a year without one visit and completely unapologetic. I also tried calling on numerous times to cancel and no one ever picked up. Watch your bank account if you sign up with these guys.

Great gym, nice friendly staff, clean, lots of fresh air, sky lights, equipment never crowded, lots of weights, from light to heavy, lots of machines, lots of step mills which is like an escalator and does great things for gluts, and elipticals, good ab machines that can be weighted a big plus, nice people and safe lots of natural light that comes in feels like working out with fresh air fresh breezes, good price not too expensive, very knowledgeable trainers, also has store to buy protein powders etc, and a very knowledgeable staff to help u pick the right protein for you, much better than the corp gyms that are sterile. another great thing is they have alot of equipment you can hang from and do pull ups and such which is a life saver for shoulders and back, they even have rings

This has always been the hidden gem and best gym hands down in San Diego. At my previous gym 24 hour fitness doesn’t matter the location it was always crowded and FULL of people. The vibe in here is what makes it a great gym!!! The people that go here are awesome no one hits on you, no judgement and I have actually made friends here. As far as the actual gym they have everything that a gym needs but it is a no frills gym. They have an out door section also that has tires ropes etc. I haven’t been to Boxing or the group classes. The front desk people are very knowledgeable about fitness and quickly become family! They usually always have something going on in the lobby either vendors massages meal prep people etc. Also very clean they have a cleaning person that comes in at night that I have seen who is friendly. I love it!

Signed up for the free three day trial online. Went in and was greeted by blank stares. Explained I came in to check out the gym and use the trial membership. I was helped quickly to sign up and told how much it would cost after the trial. No tour. That’s fine, not a big deal. However, there is already a limited amount of cardio equipment (my primary gym need) but I soon realized that at least 7-8 of those machines were out of order. Two of those that did not have these signs I attempted to use, but they will also soon be out of order. The weight room looks big and comprehensive so if that is your primary need it probably would be a fine choice. Still at $34 a month I need the cardio machines to work.
