This place has severe problems. The elevator to the parking garage is broken a lot of the time. Many of the machines are broken. Some technically function but rattle and cluck and click when you use them. There is a hot water pipe onvthe ceiling that runs the length of the facility and drips hot water randomly in several locations including over some machines and the mens urinals. This place is not being kept up.

This place has so much potential. Too bad the people they hired are lazy and never keep the place in shape. I said lazy because many times they never do anything while paper towel dispensers need replacing, and when you ask for help, you feel like you're asking them an SAT question because they dawdle for so long. Paper towel is always out, trash strewn around, locker room and shower is always dirty, multiple broken showers and lockers in the men's room. I blame both the staff and the clientele who leave things a mess after their visits. I only go here because it's close to my house and that it has towel service. That. Is. It. '___'

This gym was “ok”.How do you run out of paper towels??? You’re a gym! It’s so disgusting and unsanitary! I asked if they had towels and the employee made it seem like I was asking too much. I get these employees may be stressed but this isn’t the customers fault.Be better prepared, check your stock! Come on 24 hour! Probably has so many health violations! It’s sad to see that even a company who’s net worth is more than a billion you can’t even manage one gym location with adequate supplies and professional employees.

I go for the location convenience and the classes, which are good. Many of the teachers are excellent. The place however, is run down and worn. Most class hand weights are all gone. The bar weights are worn and rusty. Bars bent, Mats worn. There doesn’t seem much interest in replacing items. Place smells, so glad they leave the entry doors open. Place is not clean.I joined a barre class elsewhere. But go to the 24classes I like. The market st gym is cleaner.

Bathroom is ok. Better than the potrero locations. Many machines always broke.. the pool is nasty. I caught a ringworm from it.

its not bad as people describe. I loved the energy of the place and it is a wide open floor. It is feels cleaner and better equipped then Van Ness. I would say just some people there need to respect the place better- Chinese unhesitently swimming the wrong lane in the pool, a dude throwing constently a huge ball on the ground loudly, and two dudes giggling and smacking down weights. Also a gayish dude kept looking at me pool, locker, gym. Maybe there is a lack of management...but there is a basketball court!!!

I usually go to the 24 in Daly City since it's on the way from work, but I'll sometimes come here since it's closer to home.Overall, they're both pretty awful but in different ways. Daly City is dirtier and feels like an old musty swamp. Ocean is bigger, but it's way more crowded and parking is a lot worse. Even on the street, it takes some effort to find a space. After parking my car and getting inside, I'm then stuck waiting for everything in the gym. I feel like I spend more time waiting around than actually working out

Absolutely filthy! One MRSA outbreak away from a class action lawsuit. A great place for a microbiology field trip. Black mold grows around the ventilation ducts, hot tub is a disturbing shade of green resembling pond water minus the leeches. Showers are constantly leaking at full stream. Razors and soiled bandaids litter the floor of the showers. First thing in the morning and the sauna often has a dreadful smelll indicating no cleaning since the day prior. Two hand dryers that you must wait in line to use until the old asian dude is finished drying is genitals. Letters to managers and corporate office receive no correspondence. Disgraceful to call themselves a "health club."

Great machines, great location.Staff never know what is going on with facility. Gym is always dirty. (During peak hours and non peak hours) Water fountain always broken. Hot water in showers are always inoperable.

Not the best in the City. It gets a lot of use and it isn't really that clean. It's not dirty. It just doesn't say "clean" to me. For instance the free weight section gets dusty and the floors need more sweeping. Often machines are out of service. It gets a lot of usage. But it works for me.
