Although this kind of setting is not for me, I can see how it may be appealing and beneficial to others. If you enjoy a group setting and are not discouraged by watching your stats, then this for you. Unfortunately for me, the class was too distracting–just too many moving parts in a small amount of time. I prefer a longer and smoother transition but the energy from the instructor and friendliness of the team is unbeatable.

Josh is a great coach! He pays attention to form and gives great feedback. Although yesterday he was so focused on form in the weight room that he made us run an all-out for an extra 15 seconds!

Orangetheory Fitness is definitely one of the best workouts for the money! Group training with a plan for every class and each instructor always brings their A game to make it effective and fun for all ages and fitness levels.I've been going for more than 2 years and have been to lots of studios around the country - this one is the biggest one I've seen yet, and because its brand new the equipment still has that new tread smell! Only drawback is going to be parking, which is meters on the street and a crowded pay garage behind the studio.

Work out was great. Staff was really warm and welcoming. I just wish they had towels in the locker room to shower. It would make my life a lot easier. But if you don’t need to shower, it’s the best.

Two little kids and a full time job don't leave me a lot of time to workout. So glad I started Orangetheory - I get an intense, effective, cardio and strength training workout in 60 minutes. The routine is always changing, so it never gets boring, and I always feel it the next day!

Totally agree with the other reviewer who said Josh is a great coach. I've always struggled with the persistence to stick with gym routines in the past, but the format and location of OrangeTheory San Mateo has been the perfect fit for me.

I was apprehensive to join, however so thankful I did. It’s a quick, fun workout that makes you feel engaged with a coach that isn’t too pushy. Currently I visit once a week due to cost but would love to go twice per week. It’s a great workout!

The staff are orangetheory are very welcoming and helpful! I haven't worked out in a gym much and it was great having their guidance in learning how to do new exercises! Would recommend! The only reason it gets 4 stars is because it's expensive to buy into, especially for the cost of the heart monitor. Other than that, it was a great group workout that encourages you to dig deep and do your best.

Early morning workout (5AM). My first time with Orange Theory. Passing through town and joined our daughter. Good sized group of all ages and fitness levels.I was impressed with the work of Coach Camilo. Very encouraging and energetic at the early hour. Good to see him offer advise and encouragement to the various members. My wife and I enjoyed the workout.

A huge space with a medium size studio. The staff is super friendly and street parking wasn't an issue for the morning classes. I visit OTF a few times each time I'm in the Bay Area and this studio is one of the better locations.
