This gym is very nice (if you have a “corporate membership”) I pay for the membership that tells me I’m allowed to work out at ANY crunch fitness but when I came in, they had told me that my membership was valid at only “FRANCHISED” crunches. What was funny was the first time I came in I scanned and they let me in no problems and no questions asked. Then I came 2 days later for them to tell me my membership was not valid.

I liked going to this gym when I had a membership. I had stopped it around COVID times. I called several times after they reopened to get the childcare hours available and the childcare times were much more limited and didn't work for me.

My review is solely on the manner in which my girlfriend was "kicked out" of Crunch Walnut Creek, not on my personal experience with this facility or its staff. To preface, my girlfriend and I have been loyal members of Crunch Walnut Creek for almost as long as they have been open. We attended 5 days a week and many of the staff know me by name or face. We purchased a house in a new area which prompted the cancelation of our membership. Two weeks before the end of our membership, my girlfriend accidentally walks out of the facility with a towel, a common accident that I (and countless others) have fallen subject to. She is chased out of the gym and to her car by another member screaming and accusing her of stealing. My GF hands the towels to the member who takes them inside. Later that day, my GF receives an email from Sarah Cabral stating that, "security cameras and eyewitnesses" caught her trying to steal towels and as a result, her membership is canceled effective immediately.Confused, she sent a polite email requesting additional information and a hope to discuss what she was being accused of in hopes to remediate the misunderstanding. The response from Crunch was an unsympathetic, "no" to more information and ignoring our request to hear our side. I spoke w/ Mike, the GM, asking him for more information. He said that he vaguely heard about someone being accused of "stealing 4 towels" from the locker room, but since he didn't cancel the membership (Sarah did), he couldn't do anything until he spoke to Sarah. How come Sarah gets to tell her side of the situation but my girlfriend doesn't? It appeared to me that Mike agreed the situation sounded funny knowing me and my gf and our tenure with this gym. However, I didn't get a chance to hear back from Mike or Sarah as we officially moved. If we ever move back to Walnut Creek, we will not be giving our business to Crunch Walnut Creek or recommending it as a gym until this slander is cleared and a proper apology is provided.

I had a great experience with the trainer Emma but other then that. Nothing good to say.I feel scammed by the front desk guys who helped sign me up. I was very specific about needing to know exactly what I was going to be looking at price wise due to being a disabled single mom.I was told $125 ALL TOGETHER A MONTH for both my son and I so I decided I could make that work and trusted I was being given the prices properly. But now for two month in a row I have been charged the $125 and then two weeks later charged another $89 that was not communicated to me AT ALL! Both times I was not prepared for this to happen so it has overdrawn my account. The first time it happened I called figuring it was a mistake but then I get told it's some extra fee I was not told about before that happens once a year.... so I let it go and stayed with the gym but now the same charge is happening again! And if it is some reocurring charge or whatever, then why wasn't that explained to me the first round last month when this charge happened!? Instead now I feel lied to and this gym has now gotten over $3000 out of me, and cares this little to help educate me properly on their prices. I am done.So I am STILL waiting on a response to have my account canceled because rather then being able to walk in and cancel your membership, you have to email some person and hope they respond because apparently that's the only way your trapped self can get out of this membership. Horrible communication! Do not recommend.

I come to the gym to work out and escape the outside world. I don't want to be influenced with flags.

I was considering coming here and moving gyms, but was treated very poorly by a sales manager. My friend who was getting me in as a guest had tried signing me in and the sales manager was condescending and rude. He turned away my potential business just by his offputting energy. If I was Crunch corporate I’d reconsider who you have in sales because he’s losing you business.
