I started this past Saturday and have gone every day since. I went in to do the trial and the same day signed up because I knew this was something I wanted to keep doing. Coach Erin and the other students welcomed me with open arms. This is obviously a very family-friendly environment. Everything is broken down to the lowest level and SAFETY comes first. Respect is given all around even to the new guy like me. Give it a try if you're thinking about doing it because only good things will come!

Our family went to an introductory course over Christmas break. I have zero experience in any kind of self defense so it was all new to me, but George was a wonderful instructor. We spent a couple of hours and learned a handful of very valuable techniques. It made me want to join and learn/practice consistently. Would recommend and go again!

I could not have had more of a positive experience at this gym. Even though they knew I was just passing by for the weekend everyone was super kind and helpful. Even after class I was rolling with a few of the guys there and the head instructor (Duane) noticed I had poor foot lock defense so he taught me the basics of leg locks. Another blue belt there (Mike) taught me a few things about increasing pressure in side control. 11/10 experience at Gracie Barra, Sandy.

I love the people and atmosphere of gracje barra so much. They have incorporated me into their bjj family and i will forever be thankful. I learn something new about juijitsu (and so much mor) and improve everyday

Was in town from and had the pleasure of training with Professor Duayne and Coach Erin. Professor Duayne has a very content rich academy. His attention to detail/concise instruction fosters his students the ability to learn/execute techniques as effectively as possible! Professor Duayne's charasmatic demeanor and harmony in the academy welcomes people of all levels and walks of life. If I lived in Sandy I'd study under his tutelage without reservation! CHECK THEM OUT!!!

Great place to learn with very patient instructors, and a very positive group of students willing to help out new people. My daughter and I have had a great time getting started here, and look forward to learning more in the future.
