Today, I had the worse customer service at the front desk. I went with my sister-in- law who is deaf and my brother-in-law and cousin and we were pretty excited to go climbing. Unfortunately, Stephanie was very condescending and she said that they did not have instructors to explain how to do rope-climbing. She explained me twice how to do it and after that She said that She had explained me too many times, therefore, She could not let us do the rope climbing and that We could go back another day. I asked her when there were classes available and she said I could look it online. I think they should train their stuff better, so they don’t treat new customers like they are stupid.

Me and my boyfriend (very first time “climbers”) tried out a belay class this past weekend and the instructor was great and we had so much fun, even stayed an hour or so after the class, we decided to get a 2 week trial. We go back tonight and are told we have to test belay again so we go along with it.. the employee with brown hair was extremely condescending the whole time, expecting us to know “her ways” and got rude when we didn’t learn the way she likes. She made it so we didn’t even want to stay and we just wanted to leave after. Worst experience ever. When someone is new at something it’s nice to have someone teach you and be patient and not act like a brat. It’s nice to have someone be understanding and patient. So thank you to the employee who ruined the whole experience for me! 👍🏼

I’ve been coming to this gym for years and all in all the experience has been a positive one. The routes are fun and creatively set and the staff are usually friendly. However, the gym could definitely be cleaner. They claim to be doing increased cleanings and I’ve never seen it. The weight area is definitely the dirtiest and it’s the only gym I’ve ever been to where staff doesn’t periodically wipe down equipment. Also the gym is always incredibly busy, it can be hard to find any room to boulder on weekdays after 5 until close. I’m not going to rate negatively because of it, climbing is just a really popular sport in Utah. I do wish the gym would stop marketing so hard, y’all have enough people in there already!

One of the best climbing gyms around! This gym offers a good amount of walls of different ability levels, and is great to take people to learn how to climb. I loved my time climbing here! I'm not huge into climbing so I cancelled my membership because I wasn't going often enough to make it worth it, but that's on my own self interest! I'd go back on a buddy pass or a day pass every once in a while just to experience climbing again!

I love climbing here. The routes are well thought out and challenging. They range from 5.6-5.13a. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Options for lead climbing and top rope. They also have yoga classes and a full gym. I've been a member here off and on and would highly recommend it.

Went to the sandy location for the first time today. Not super busy from 1-3 on a Sunday which was nice. Belay tests were a joke, safety does not seem to be the top priority there, but sometimes that's better than the places that grill you every time like it's your first time. My daughter is 9, she enjoys the bouldering (they have kid specific areas) and some of the easy top rope routes, but at 55lbs, trying to lower her is almost impossible on some of the ropes because there's a lot of friction built in to the systems (this is generally a good thing, especially if you're belaying someone heavier than yourself). I'd give it 5 stars, but the walls look a bit beat up from the lead climb draws, and several areas that are for crack climbing didn't seem to get any use, which is a shame.

I really hate to write a bad review because the people who work there are kind and knowledgeable but the facility is disgusting. As soon as you walk in it smells like FEET! I’ve been to the millcreek location and it does not smell like that. Neither does the front. Also the water filter was “red” aka needed to be replaced for over a month. I even said something and I came back and it was still unchanged. It’s hard to want to renew my membership when it’s a smelly and not well kept gym. Especially where there are cleaner options.

Took my kids and some of their friends, (10-15 yrs old) pretty much all of us are beginners. They were very patient with my kids and made sure we all understood how to belay properly during our class. There is a large range of course difficulty, some well beyond impossible for us, but we enjoyed the easier climbs and watching people more expert than us with the more challenging ones.

Excellent rock climbing gym that has walls for all skill levels the staff have always been friendly and the climbing community here is great! One of the few places you can learn how to crevice climb. If you’re new or experienced in the sport this is a great place to be.

I will start by saying staff is very friendly and helpful. I have never had any problems with staff or management here, they do a stellar job.I've had a membership at momentum since I started climbing before covid. I really enjoyed it as a beginner climber, but as I've advanced, the routes seem very stagnant. I havent noticed any significant changes in holds, styles, or placement. Its not as interesting as other gyms I see, but there's always a few gym favorites which is nice. However considering how inadequate the traditional gym area is in this facility, combined with the steep price of membership and no free rentals, I can not recommend this gym. Unfortunately there is simply no alternative nearer to me.
