The decision to remove the racquetball courts is insane and will cost Vasa a lot of memberships. I play with a weekly group of rotating 8-12 players twice a week, and a 20-person text group, and we all are canceling. The notice says "We look forward to bringing you a better club designed to fit your needs and interest!" Except for the large number of racquetball players you're losing. What a joke.

I just moved to the area from Riverton. This place is really rough. I don't even mind beat up weights at a gym as they get used and the machines I want are usually operational. The locker room here is horrible! Broken lockers, the walls are crumbling, the toilets are usually either totally clogged or not operational. I don't think I've ever seen an employee in there cleaning or even a sign to block off a broken stall. The steam room has sludge from the faucet to the drain. All the other Vasa gyms I've been to have been fine but this location is pretty rough and I honestly don't typically get bothered or even notice this type of stuff

I joined Vasa Fitness after 24 hour fitness closed down. I was looking for a gym that had enough space and a friendly/competitive environment. I’ve met a lot of friends at the gym and the staff is always friendly and supportive. This location brings in a lot of the younger crowd (which I like) and they have car meetups around the coffee shop that is adjacent to the gym, so just be aware of that.

It's a decent gym for the price. The staff have always been friendly and happy to answer any questions. The equipment isn't in great shape though, often times I'd come in to find another out of order sign on one of the machines. I think they're planning on new equipment after the remodel though.Biggest complaint I have right now is they decided to remove the racquetball courts during the remodel, which was a deal breaker for me.

This gym is in disrepair. You can alwaysexpect 5-10 broken cardio machines. A decline bench has been broken for 8 months with no information of when it will be fixed. The bathroom and pool areas are falling apart and dirty. The gym over ally hasn’t looked to have a deep clean in well over a year. Over all it has damage and stuff falling apart. If you expect your maintenance fee to be used for actual maintenance, this isn’t your gym. I have a few example of what is a fraction of the problem in photos below.

For a Vasa this is the lowest quality I've ever seen, the place is big, and has a lot of machines, which is why I give it at least one more star, but the rest of the building is unclean, broken down, and out of date. Most of the vasa's I've been to are much higher quality than this, it's honestly kind of sad to see a Vasa like this. Some of the weights are also missing as well as unmatched or "rat picked", plates from different companies combining to make a mess of things, some of the plates are alright, but then other one's are just big blobs of plastic that take up too much of the bars space so not much can fit onto it. I did also notice as well that the machines are beaten badly, the room is never silent because of all the squeaking and bashing of machines that need maintenance. One of the shower stalls as well was continously spraying because of plumbing issues.Overall if they got new machines or maintained the ones they have, cleaned up the place more frequently and ordered better/more plates that were from the same company and possibly even called in a plumber this place would be amazing considering the amount of room they have, but until then take the extra 5-10 minutes to go to a different Vasa.

When it first opened years ago it was nice . Has steadily gone down hill since . Have no idea where anyPositive reviews come from unless they pad their reviews with false accounts. .Equipment is often broken lasting for months and months in spite of request for repair. Equipment is also dirty. Tiles and floors are coming up there is just a lack of care and maintenance in the place. Also the trainers turn up their music too loud with individuals while the rest of the gym must suffer through their playlist while the gym music is playing their own. Far too much stimulation and noise. . Far too many staff members just sitting around talking, Joking around, visiting. Seems to be run by a bunch of teenagers. A new personal training area “cage” has been builtin the middle of the gym taking up all the space for the equipment that everyone else used to use. not only is it an eyesore but has pushed all other equipment away and made the area for others to work out that much smaller. The entire concept of this gym seems to be around the trainers. Very little concern about others comfort /need who work out there as evidence by the lack of cleanliness noise, broken equipment and overall treatment of members using the gym . Gross, dirty , sticky equipment all the time . Maybe they should use the kids screwing around behind the desk to clean ?Bathroom toilets are broken or not secure and equipment is falling off the walls. .See photos below. Disgusting.****Noticed the “management “ responds to reviews with a patented response. NOTHING CHANGES.Dropped memberships - going to a clean, organized gym with professor staff.

I love Vasa, but this location unfortunately has a lot if broken machines (specially broken standing bikes, unregulated treadmills). They have about 10 standing bikes that not even 1 was working - I spent a whole 20min trying to find a cardio machine that worked and gave up. And for us to be charged an yearly fee of above hundreds on top of the monthly fee, you’d expect to most of the equipments to be working. Plus the machines there are very very old (and dirty) compared to other locations. I happened to be using an abs machine that broke as I was using it. A little piece was completely destroyed. Be aware that by the end of the day (sometimes early as 2 PM) there will be no toilet paper left to use. Plus these pictures of old fabric that is never replaced I attached to this review. I used to go to the brickyard location, the employees there are always cleaning, always keeping the place nice and fresh. Of course that is a very small location to handle. But it just shows that at Sandy unfortunately they don’t care much - or there is so much stuff to fix/clean that they don’t even bother? Anyways. I love Vasa, I hope this one was better.

I have a membership, but only workout there. Moved to the Sandy gym because I was burglarized at Murray facility. Murray police said I was just of many calls there.I don't use locker room or take anything of value here. Cars have been a target as well.Nice facilities, just take care.

Friendly staff always greets me at the door. Usually there are plenty of cleaning supplies to wipe down the equipment before and after my workout.Mornings and late afternoon/evenings seem to be more busy. Least busy times are between 11:00 and 3:00.Equipment is usually well maintained. If something needs repair or maintenance, the staff is helpful in logging it and making sure it gets done. In the meantime a notice is posted on the equipment needing work.
