Equipments are old and mostly broken, it has been 7 months since I have been going there and none replaced or fixed. Surprise prices which is not nice. This one might be personal but I find inside pretty warm I believe it should be cooler. Other than that spacious, nice employees, nice cinema workout area.

Beware! you'll have to pay a cancellation fee of 25$ PLUS one months worth of membership in order to be able to cancel your account. I was 11 days away from my next payment being due and there was no way around paying for the cancellation fee only. I paid 51.27$. I feel robbed. I will never rejoin this gym again.I was aware of the cancellation fee, it was right there front and center when I signed up, but what was not there was that I would be made to pay a months worth of membership along with the cancellation fee.

First time there and I enjoyed it. Decided I needed to get in shape because I'm tired of the round shape that I'm in right now. Met with a trainer (McLean) who was very helpful and knowledgeable and guided me thru some exercises. The place was clean and didn't have a sweaty male locker room smell to it that you would associate with a gym. Definitely looking forward to going back.

This location (7990 S 1300 ESandy) is ok, but the lighting is *very* dim and creates a bad mood. There is a decent selection of workout equipment, if not a little old and worse for wear, but mostly acceptable. I like that there is racquetball courts here and a lap pool. It’s a good gym for the price, I just wish they would fix the lighting, because I feel like you’re working out in a cave and it does not leave me motivated to get a good workout for some reason.

OLD REVIEW: Facility is very nice. Plenty of weights for everyone to use. Brooke helped me check in and was extremely helpful; very impressed with customer service here. Downside is the crowding this time of year.EDIT: After seeing the locker rooms I can easily say I will be looking to end my membership. There was a grossly clogged toilet, lockers hanging on hinges, bent benches, dirty moldy sink area, completely broken toilet paper dispenser, no soap, etc.I will gladly pay the cancelation fees. Management does not hire maintenance staff which means the predominantly female desk clerks have to maintain the mens locker room. No wonder its in such a bad state. How are they supposed to take on that added responsibility? Not to mention the locker room is constantly in use, they can't go in there while men are changing. Shame on management.Luckily Cassie at the front desk was very helpful and understanding with this issue. Customer service remains in good standing with me but with how atrocious the facilities are I can not give more than 1 star.

DON/T JOIN..... I was a member there a year ago, the hours said they opened at 5 A.M at the Sandy, UT location multiple times no one got there until 5:15-5:45 am one time no one got there until 6:12 AM, So I canceled it 3 months later (they still charged me a cancellation fee) Signed up for 24hr Fitness about 4 months went by and they closed all their locations in Utah and all accounts got transferred to VASA , Downloaded the APP. put it on pause multiple times, and still got charge for 2 months of it, (never when once, 0 check-ins with all the covid stuff happening) called 09/08 cancel my account asked for the refund for the 2 months and was told I needed to show proof and should of snap shoot the multiple times I put it on hold on their APP. and no refund would be refunded and was told that through 2 different employees one on the phone and another online! You would think with zero check-ins and being an transferred member and with covid happening it would be a simple deal , not for this company, Just another cooperation screw job

Vasa/Paramount is absolutely the worst! I was formally a member of 24 hour fitness which abruptly closed the gym due to covid-19 but continued to charge me an additional month for my membership. In order to receive the money back I was told to take it up with the bankruptcy lawyer. Fast forward, I get dropped on Vasa's doorstep (they can do this per the contract if they are within a 5 mile radius). This happened 3 months after my gym closed, which came as a surprise to me when my card was suddenly charged twice for the 2 people on my account. I quickly disputed it with my card which was probably my bad and the charge was removed. Less than a week later I'm getting my phone blown up by Paramount (Vasa's minions) asking for money. I told them I had canceled my membership via email with 24 hour fitness so she ask me to provide them with that email, which I did. Before they even responded to the email they went ahead and charged me the cost of the 2 gym charges I previously disputed plus a $20 late charge for both accounts! (FYI, they can also do this per the contract which states in my contract the fee is $10 for charges that don't go through or are returned but beware it also states this fee could change at anytime with no notice to us, the customer $&%<ing lawyers). Almost done, so I paid the membership fee, the $40 ridiculous late fees, and canceled my membership but guess who is still calling me after 2 months of being silent?? Paramount Acceptance (side note try to call them right back and you are told repeatedly to get a call back which I always take after 10 minutes of waiting and just like clockwork it takes them about 3-4 hours to get back to you). Moral of the story never sign up for a gym that the servicer is Paramount or be in for a headache and taking it up the @@@.

I called them on Friday to cancel my membership and couldn’t leave a message. I just got disconnected even though it was still during the business hours in their message. I called again, and used the option for a return call and they woke me up with a 7:30 am phone call Monday morning. It’s rude to call before 8. I am cancelling partly because I don’t like their fee to lock your price in that is not optional. If you want extra money charge me a higher membership. Otherwise the lock in your rate fee should be optional. Many months ago I called this gym, and asked what their transgender locker room policy was and they couldn’t tell me. They said they’d have a manager call me back and they never did. I don’t care what your policy is I just wanted to know what it was.Generally the gym is nice and in good repair. It’s the policies and service I have had an issue about.

I joined VASA a few months ago in order to stay fit during the winter months. I am so impressed with my representative, Kaleb. He is truly a professional and always makes me feel welcome at VASA. Great staff and equipment. Join up!

5 stars for variety of equipment. They have so many machines here.1 star for cleanliness. I literally stepped in human poop and ruined my shoes the other day here.2 stars for upkeep. Something always seems to be broken or shut down. Steam room, pool, machine, bench, etc... Takes them forever to fix things.
