They are in middle of remodel right now, will be better once they are finished, only issue i have is that a lot of thier staff tends to sit on thier phones rather than attend to the equipment wipe stations. On two occasions they were completely empty in the whole gym! When asked the clerk said they would get to it, 30 min later still empty WTH? This is a management issue, I dont blame the kids working, train your staff!

Update: 1 star now because the owner is more concerned about asking people for contact information instead of acknowledging or addressing issues. Also for not prioritizing and neglecting extreme basics, like having only one unfiltered drinking fountain in the entire gym for nearly a year, having bathrooms in a perpetually gross and decrepit state.I've been coming here for 7 years and it used to be the best gym location ever... key words, USED TO. It used to have the perfect layout and perfect equipment options, with tons of mirrors and sectioned off cozy and intimate areas that served key purposes where you could focus on yourself in a mirror as you pushed yourself and while also observing those around you pushing themselves. The equipment was time-tested and well broken in and had unique pieces that everyone loved and used often. This all created the perfect atmosphere for people getting amazing gains and also encouraged people to socialize. There were lots of regulars and people in amazing shape and who looked great, people thrived on the success of each other.Well that's all changed for the worse now with the recent remodel, I'm sure which was initiated by someone in corporate headquarters who has never used the facility and who only cares about matching the "image" of other Vasa layouts and equipment. They've torn down the walls to make an "open floor plan" approach, akin to an "open office" concept which is horrible in practice. Along with it they've taken away 80% of the mirrors and removed most of the equipment that regulars loved and used the most and replaced it with blank spaces and equipment that doesn't give the same range of motion, or just did away with equipment that served a specific needed purpose and didn't replace it; the type of equipment needed to target the right muscles or the right angle needed for real gains. The new equipment is worse for the most part, newer is NOT better most the time. There is now much less equipment overall, and much less equipment to serve critical needs, half your workout now is just finding an open bench, rack, weight plates, or machine and hope you manage to get a "good enough" workout in. The squat rack and deadlift setup is now much worse as both are on the same physical setup, meaning that only one person now occupies both a squat rack and deadlift setup, additionally there are fewer overall so this means that it's now even harder to get on one when you need it.On top of this the layout is absolutely horrible, they have a sprinting track literally right in the middle of the gym floor where you have to walk across to get to the other side of the gym. The equipment and flow is super tight and restrictive to where you must dodge people and equipment just to walk freely. Other areas are too open and have too much wasted space and feel very "cold". There's a severe lack of mirrors now, and nothing to focus on. Overall the entire setup and equipment options now make it near impossible to seriously get in shape and to push yourself and to feed off the energy and vibe of the atmosphere and other motivated people, they killed the vibe and took away most of the best equipment in one go. The gym and atmosphere is now closer to that of a Planet Fitness, where it's not inviting or a place where people take a workout seriously, most the regulars have left and those who remain have severely lost gains and motivation and it shows. I sincerely hope they make improvements as they wrap up the remodel and into the years that follow, but so far it seems like a disaster move.

Without a doubt the MOST SLEEZY SCUMMY company or organization I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They are absolute crooks. Repeatedly told them in person and on the app to freeze my training and they kept charging. I was assured it was frozen, they kept charging. Customer service is worthless, and it is run by a third party that has zero connection to Vasa, so there is no way to get any contact with the thieves responsible for the deplorable treatment. The employees on-site are fully separated from corporate so they are powerless to help. Stay very far away.

This place is a great gym. However I've been telling the staff and management for a good month and a half that the floors in the locker room are disgusting and they haven't done a thing to clean them. They spent all this money on a renovation but they can't clean the floors. I'm sure the health department would have a hay day with it.

SLEEZY COMPANY AND MANAGEMENT! DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP HERE!Me and my little brother both got memberships here. My brother stopped paying his bill and I was continually contacted to pay his bill. After multiple phone calls with paramount acceptance and talking with this vasa's management I was told they were contacting me to hopefully connect with my brother and that I wasn't financially liable for his payments. Eventually it's sent to collections under my name and my credit is hurt and I'm liable for the bill. I was lied to multiple times and led to believe I wasn't liable and everything was my brothers responsibility. Either Management here has no idea how to do their job or they could care less about the people that use their gym.

Another update: this review prompted a call from Vasa and they waived the cancellation fee. I have no issue with the final months membership as that is clear in the agreement.I'm updating my review which was initially favorable and just said they needed to finish the renovation (still ongoing). My update is because I recently figured out that, instead of setting my wife up for guest privileges, she was given a full membership. My fault for not watching my credit card statement closely enough, but by the time I caught it, and got VASA to take any action, I had already been charged over $200 for that second membership including the annual fee. VASA would not admit or even look into the mistake. Their concession was to cancel without charging the $25 fee! To be fair these were decisions at corporate how to handle my issue, but the mistake was made at the Sandy location.From this experience I decided to cancel my own membership.Here's a tip: the $25 cancellation fee is based on the day you GIVE 30-day notice, not the actual end of the membership. They also do not prorate the last month, so I have paid 7 months due PLUS a cancellation fee!I am gladly switching my membership to a brand new gym where I don't have to wait months & months for renovations and old run-down equipment to be replaced, and who I hope treats their members better than VASA has treated me in this situation.

Usually a great workout, more problems with the billing and policies, etc.... than the employees. But its got great variety for free weights, machines, and classes!

This place just keeps getting better every day! They now have 8 of the heavy barbell racks, and 4 sets of each weight on the dumbbells.

Their remodeling job is like remodeling a burning building. drinking fountains broken Sauna doesn't get close to hot enough. Bathroom floor covered with leaking water from urnal's more often than not. They got rid of all of the types The most basic equipment that I use without replacing anything. Almost every visit I had to Search gym wide basic jump pads etc. and or wait to use them and could not do my normal routine because I had to protect what l rounded up! (other people want same!) At least one star lower than it was. A year and a Half ago!

It’s a little intimidating when you first start out but the staff is friendly and welcoming. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I had to find my own way around. I’m new to the whole gym thing and I don’t know how to use a lot of the amenities. So a little tour would have been nice
