I have been with other gyms before but I find here that the staff are friendly and helpful "all the time". All the areas are clean and lockers are great. Disinfectant and paper towel is within easy reach anywhere in the gym. No socializing in work areas. The "no dropping of weights on the floor" is strongly enforced. Equipment arrangement is just great. The purple color is soothing to the eye.

I love this place! It is always clean, they have so many machines I have never waited for any cardio machines. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere low key. It truly feels like a community gathering place. If you are looking for a great place to start/continue/try working out I recommend Planet gitness in Rainier Beach 100%!!!

I would think twice about this location. I have been a member at this location for several months. When I joined, I was offered the black card membership for $20 (and some change)/month. Long story short, I have been charged $40 (and some change) a month every month since the start of my membership. To top it off, This location has no record of it in their system. I’ve had to go through my bank and force them to only charge me what the contract says. It’s a long process and not worth it. Luckily, each location handles they’re own finances so choosing a different location wouldn’t necessarily warrant that same results :)

Just started to work out here at Planet Fitness on Rainer, had an amazing workout with Jacob. He’s an amazing trainer but a better person! You are able book a workout session through the app which was very convenient. Highly recommend this location and Staff is amazing as well!

The new trainer, Jacob, is so friendly, fun, and motivational -- just the person you need to help keep your workout game up! I always have fun when going to the gym now, something I never would have called fun before. The rest of the staff is always helpful and professional. Just be sure to bring any valuables from your car and lock it up. I've had issues with the safety of the parking lot in the past years.

Poor customer service and corporate is unreacheable. I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This company handles all refund disputes directly. Their staff are also very unfriendly and will argue about not providing refunds. I do not recommend. I did not use service for month of august 2020 due to covid concerns and requested a refund and cancellation of account. I also requested the annual fee refunded. They declined assistance with this matter.Please go through your bank they can change your account number to stop further charges.I would have kept my account open if they handled my situation a little differently.This is how I get treated during covid times.

Lots of poeple aren't wearing mask. During reps I understand not to wear it but between sets and walking around, put it on! Some don't have a mask altogether and the staff isn't enforcing it at all.Also staff and many members are not wiping down the equipment as often as they said they'd do. I do appreciate you guys being open at this time but it's a high risk if no one is following simple rules. If some gyms have higher transmission rates it'll be planet Fitness and in the low income areas. They're the areas least likely to comply with public safety.

It's very clean. There's always available equipment. The free classes are great if you're new to the gym or need help getting over a plateau. The black card spa has hydromassage chairs that are absolutely worth using after every workout. It's like light chiro and massage at the same time... And the cost is unbeatable. I'm glad I chose this as my gym.

I workout several days a week and I am greeted differently by different staff. Some are really disengaged, chatting with each other behind the counter and make you feel like you are interrupting them when you try to check in. I definitely don't feel comfortable approaching staff with issues when I am there. They do not seem to monitor things like wiping down machines or people talking on cell phones - maybe they need coaching in how to do that? Or how to issue reminders to everyone about politeness & gym etiquette? Or is that not their job?

I really enjoy coming here to workout. Not the best location. It's the only one near me. I get accosted a lot when in the parking lot. And I wish more people wiped the machines when they were done.The black card spa is nice and relaxing. It's always really clean back there. The women's bathroom and locker room is clean.
