Don't visit this gym if you're traveling and don't already have a membership - they don't do day passes or trials.

Please put mirrors in front of the squat racks on the wood floor. Such an easy change that would improve this gym 10x

I have gotten more interested in Oly Weightlifting at GymIt, this gym provides all of the proper equipment for Oly Lifting, Powerlifting, Bodybuilding, also for general fitness.

UPDATE (2023): Lowered from 5 to 2 stars because things have worsened for those who care about a pleasant sound atmosphere.1. Chaos in the music: The attendant at the front desk sometimes plays "gangsta rap" with violent and degrading lyrics.2. Clangs from dropping weights: The rule that you may not drop weights has been retracted. To save yourself from the startling noises of deadlifters dropping their bars you may need to wear ear plugs.3. A rise in prices: From $30 to $50 for a single month.4. Shorter open times. Closes 10:30 pm on weekdays and 8 pm on on weekends. Used to be open 24/4 and till 11 on Fridays and weekends. Closing at 8 isn't enough time for a lot of us.I'll revise this review if management takes care of these issues.

The staff are friendly, the equipment is clean, the people around are easy to get along with, personal trainers are professionalIt's not easy to park, people often jump in line when waiting for a parking space (twice a week), and you often need to wait for equipment ~6pm

Best gym around and the pricing is unbeatable. Lots of powerlifting racks and bars, benches, a strip of turf, plenty of cardio machines. The only thing they don’t have that I would regularly use is a hack squat, but those take up a lot of space, so that’s understandable. Free guest passes on weekends which no other places do and the staff is great. I live within walking distance to about 5 gyms in Somerville but still drive 25-30 minutes a day to this one and back. One thing is that it is always packed after 4 pm on weekdays. Also, dumbbells up to 130 or 150 would be great.Edit: Got a hack squat machine. 👍🏻

Clean space and equipment, very friendly staff, comfortable massaging chair, big parking lot, reasonable price. I enjoy exercising at this gym. I think this gym cares about people and their experience. Highly recommend.

One of the better gyms that I’ve found in the Boston area. Have everything you need for a complete workout.

This is one of those places that I like SO much that I don’t want to write a review because I fear it’ll make it too popular to workout at. But they really do deserve the affirmations. I can’t speak to the trainers, but the front desk folks are all kind and chill, rates are a STELLAR value, and the management/owners are highly responsive. These folks run a quality gym. Why would anyone ever go to a Planet Fitness or BSC when this is an option is beyond me…My only current wish would be: extend hours a bit later (I’m a night owl), and maybe expand your footprint up into the commercial space available upstairs? I can dream..
