Like any gym it will only work if you work it. I was happy to learn that they now offer Fitness classes so you don't have to solely rely on your personal knowledge of a machine anymore. Take advantage of the full body enhancement room, those therapies that come with the membership cost a lot of money at the doctor. Sometimes it's very busy in the evenings but there's always open machines. Planet Fitness really does have the best prices for gym memberships out there, most definitely worth your health.

If you're in any kind of hurry at all, this place (and most other Planet Fitness gyms) will drive you crazy. Way too many patrons that just sit on machines they're not even using scrolling and texting for half an hour at a time. If they notice you've been standing next to them for five minutes waiting (they usually don't notice or don't care) they will pretend to be using it for about 5 seconds then pull their phone out again. You can't even use the 30 minute workout room at all. People just sitting on almost every machine. Staff should really be just one or two people behind the counter and everyone else out on the floor asking people to please exhibit the simple common courtesy to stand up if you're not using a machine when there are literally hundreds of people in the gym waiting patiently to use them. This should actually be stressed to customers upon joining, but the place can't seriously be considered a gym if half the people there are the sort of folks that sit at a green light while texting and completely ignore everyone honking, so staff needs to be especially diligent in discouraging this sort of behavior.

UPDATE::::::: so that you can see how much this place has changed I'm going to leave my previous review up (see below). I USED TO HATE THIS PLACE SO MUCH but after a change in managemet late last year EVERYTHING changed. Place is much cleaner, staff is much much nicer and very pleasant. They always acknowledge all the members, I constantly see them walking around re-racking and making sure the gym is nice. It's like night and day.Recently I had billing issues with my account and Laz one of the managers took care of it right away. This is especially surprising because at the time I had 2 gym memberships, one at this gym and one at another gym nearby (Fitness 19) and the other gym has yet to resolve my account issue since march. turns out they both use the same billing system. Thank you Laz and PF Team.OLD REVIEW:::::::::Lots of Sloppy ghetto Meatheads who don't re-rack, seems like hardly anyone carries a towel or bothers to wipe their nasty drip after they use machines, poor equipment setup and selection, old jerky machines, front desk girls almost always have rude snobby attitude (like 97% of the time) and they seem to always be lounging behind the front desk, I think I might have seen a genuine and sincere welcoming smile from one lady who checked me in one time (ONCE). So Expect a crappy automated fake reply with no eye contact when checking in.The graveyard guys are way cool, very pleasant, smile, greet, are informative and are usually doing stuff around the gym. Gym is better organized since they don't just lounge and yap like the females do. some of the guys in the daytime seem nice and willing to answer questions as well but the girls always seem busy gossiping and annoyed with pesky members wanting to check in. Makes me wish I didn't have to even make contact with staff.seen transients in locker room several times, too many treadmills not nuff Smith machines, no scale, limited free weights, spent water bottles everywhere during morning,il gym is usually Over crowded and it appears very few people have gym etiquette. Probably the worst gym in the southeast L.A. region.H.P. planet fitness.... What's not to love?

Worst place ever! The employees stand around all shift doing nothing productive. They stole my purse from the locker and no one was helpful. The manager showed me a security tape ONLY because I called the police and in that tape we saw a MAN walking into the woman's locker room and coming out 20min after! NO ONE noticed , employees clearly don't do there job. Be careful ladies!!

Worse place to work out. It's very crowded, you have no choice but to stand around and wait for a machine to open up. So you spend more time fighting with the patrons over a machine. The place is too small for all the members that attend here! Definitely need to look into expanding.

Good price but too crowded. In my experience I would come after work like 4:30 and mostly everything was being used. It was hard to compete a full workout because of the amount of people waiting. I would almost never use the machines by the mirrors since it was always crowded so I would usually do cardio every time and that was fine but when it come to using the machines it’s when you have to wait a bit. They did add step master since I joined but it seemed more people have joined and the gym is small so it gets very crowded. They have a massage area but I never figured out how to use it. The lockers are big and there is plenty of space to store your gym clothes just take your own lock. The showers got renovated and the place looks nice. Friday’s was not crowed or weekends but Monday - Thursday after 4 it was too crowded for me so I decided to try a new gym. Very good place to start working out in the cardio equipment.

They have free pizza every 1st of the month. The staff is super cool. The monthly payment is really affordable. They just installed new workout machines and improved all areas/rooms in December 2017. They added these really awesome metal bar constructs of various sizes and for different purposes that really give you an edge when you need to target a specific muscle. There is NO workout you can't do here.

Its ok if youre poor like me and 10 dollar is what u can, afford youll get a good workout, you gotta know what times to go so its not over crowded, guys always hoard weights and smith machine, people missuse the 30 minute circuit and abs station, wish it had more variety of equipment but its small only reason i go is because its close to home and affordable, and ive never had an issue with its cleanliness its very well taken care of. You get what u pay for i guess...

The gym is small n low on equipment. There's no scale to weigh yourself, which is not good. I expected there to be one in the restroom at least, but no. They need more clocks so u can time yourself. All in all this is a small gym
