Viewed the Planet Fitness site and app while wondering if I should resume my membership. I saw an option to join online after watching a "virtual tour" which was not specific to the location I was interested in re-joining. When I phoned the in Oak Park (Michigan) location, I was told "It's easier if you join online." I tried to explain I wanted to see the facility I would use as a member and not rely on a video presentation. The rep kept repeating "It's easier if you join online" and hung up before I could ask about any specials they are offering. No more Planet Fitness for me--at least not at this location.

Management refused to refund for one month after i canceled and have not been into it for more than three not even their "yearly" fee even though I have been with them for over 5 years.Go somewhere elsesome machines have stupid bug where they don't transition between levels and have never been fixed for over 2 years I only stayed there since there was no other option.

Never had an unpleasant experience at this location; however, they fulfilled a membership cancellation made by someone other than me, the member. My membership was cancelled over a year ago by phone request yet I never made this call (I didn't authorize it either)\. I found out from the Troy location because Southfield is temporarily closed, but no one could provide the name of the caller nor the phone number that made the request. Since it was by phone (no ID verification involved), you would think they verified that the number matched the one on my account or at least documented the number used but there isn't any information. I just now saw the membership termination documents in my email for the very first time (because I wasn't expecting them) and the only signature present is from the employee that processed the cancellation. Like I said, I continued to use Planet Fitness gyms to workout and even worked out last week without being informed my membership was terminated. It's a pretty good gym and the employees are always nice, but this situation has made me uncomfortable as I had to request a note to only allow membership cancellations from the number on my account or in-person. I think I will find another company to workout with.

Great gym, not 24 hours. We are all paying for, and were sold on a 24/7 gym yet they close before 12 on 3 different days. Remove the 24 Hour sign from the doors, update the website then issue a notice to all active users of the gym no longer being 24 hours.It's not alright to advertise 24 hours when it's not.

I love planet fitness. Even tho I had some issues with management a few years ago the people that work at the Southfield location now have been very lovely and helpful. It’s ALWAYS clean upon arrival and I love how they keep cleaning products out to insure it stays clean.

The gym is spacious nice and clean. But not being 24 hours has been an issue lately. Twice last week the employee with the keys has not been to work on time...I showed up on Monday at 525am and they were closed and heard from another member waiting outside that happened the previous day. Extremely frustrating. If you can't unlock the doors go to 24 hours.

About half of people are working out improperly masked. They ignore staff requests to re mask and are not removed. A safety hazard
