While I have only been a member of this gym for three weeks, I am extremely satisfied with the staff and equipment. When I recently decided to seek out a fitness facility off post (JBLM), the staff was extremely helpful with activating my account. Moreover, with such a small facility to offer, many of the attendees seem to be expedient with equipment use. For all of these reasons, not to mention the unbeatable price, I strongly recommend this facility!

As others have said when you want to cancel they make it near impossible, super frustrating. Called in early January to cancel mine and my daughter’s memberships. Their policy is that you must come in to cancel, but I explained that I was out-of-town and wanted to avoid being billed any longer. The person I was working with said he understood and would cancel immediately. Needless to say, I was billed for three more months for both memberships. I called back to find out why it had not been cancelled. The person who answered proceeded to laugh which triggered me further. At that point, I insisted on speaking to a manager. I was told “Sally” was busy and would call me back that same day. My frustration turned to anger when no one called back for three days, causing me to call again. Of course, Sally was busy once again and would need to call me later. To my surprise, she did call back a few hours later. She explained policy required us to come in to cancel, but that she would email me the cancellation forms and refund two months instead of three. I was irritated, but went along with it. I signed my form and had daughter did the same and we returned the cancellations right away. Refunds for two months were eventually processed. The next month, despite being refunded and completing their cancellation process, I was billed, AGAIN! I called back and was given the run around with the woman telling me they did not receive both cancellation forms. I told that was odd because they refunded both memberships which means they did receive them. Of course, I had the email I sent with the attached cancellations pulled up on my computer and told her I wanted to speak with a supervisor. Once again, I spoke with “Sally” who said they had not noticed both forms in my original email. I repeated that I found that odd as they refunded both memberships. She then attempted to shift blame to me, at which time I pointed out that both cancellations were in the email and I even stated that both memberships were to be cancelled. I actually enjoyed the gym until the pandemic hit, but I would never return after dealing such incompetent staff and Sally.

I really wanted to like this gym, but unfortunately, I was incredibly turned off by their sales-y attitudes. I went in to signup for a membership and the worker told me she was going to give me a tour of the facility so she could figure out which membership would work best for me. I told her I was only interested in the most basic membership they had as I was not going to be partaking in any of the extras, like classes. After signing up, they told me it was now time to make an appointment for a "kick off" to speak with one of their staff about my goals. I asked what exactly this appointment entailed and they said it was a free appointment where I would talk with an employee about where I was and where I wanted to be, they kept using the word "free."When I arrived at said appointment several weeks later, I came to find out that it was actually a shill for personal training. I understand that the employees would like to make extra money on sales and commissions, but it's so dishonest to not tell people who have no money for extras like personal training what that appointment was for. It was not only a huge waste of my time, but it was also a huge waste of the personal trainer's time who had to show up for someone who was not interested in personal training whatsoever. So disrespectful to both parties.

Even though I belong to another Crunch Fitness in Florida the girl Sally helped me check-in, I couldn't log in on my app she even called my gym in Florida to help me out. She's very kind, polite and professional. That's how it should be everywhere. Thank you Sally 🙏🙏🙏 …

Great gym. If you're a powerlifter or more than your average Lifter than the bench and bars are pretty basic. The bench is narrow and pretty low compared to a standard powerlifter bench and there are only two height racks for the bar. Also only 2 squat areas and 1 deadlift platform you can use. Currently it is a mask on requirement. It wasn't too crowded either which was nice. We went during the afternoon. But tons of machines that have a ton of space in between along with a huge turf center for sledding or what have you. Drop in is about $10 but go online for a free trial day!

I did a free trial for crunch fitness sometime last year in September I believe. I only went once to see if I would enjoyed working out at their gym. It was okay but wasn’t for me. That was the last time I went. I called later that day to cancel my trial membership. Almost half a year later without one word or any kind of communication from Lakewood Crunch Fitness I get a letter from a debt collector requesting $268.97. I have never been back since my first visit sometime last year of September. I never got any mail, call, or email from Lakewood Crunch Fitness until receiving this letter from the debt collector that I owed them $268.97 for a free gym trial.Personally did not enjoy their gym for weight lifting due to the lack of free weights and exercise equipment.
