I just get in town from California and I'm having trouble switching my account over so I go to one planet fitness and I didn't really know why I was having trouble but that planet fitness which is the one about 2 mi away from this one was pretty rude and did not treat me with respect.So I drove to this one I came here next and they were amazing. Devin is a class act and deserves a raise.

Staff is very friendly, clean environment, happy to see security in parking lot for guest safety and presence. Favorite location I have been to so far in my 7 years with planet fitness.

They have lots of machines and perks. The employees are helpful.

****UPDATED March 2023 reviewI just went back to Planet Fitness.After a rough pregnancy, I took a very long break. I didn’t really know what to expect, after not attending for a while.However. I have to say that I’m still pleased with this gym.It was clean. All the equipment I wanted to use was open. They also still have many well stocked cleaning stations.The young man working the front desk was super friendly. I tanned, as well. The room was tidy, paper towels full, cleaning spray full & bulbs were all working just fine, as always.I go during non-peak hours & had no issues finding parking in front.****First review below (1 year ago)-Had my first visit here, after joining online. The young man who checked me in was extremely friendly and helpful. His name was Kyree (might be misspelled). He answered all my questions.I haven’t worked out, outside of my home in a very long time but the app is super helpful in navigating equipment. As well as employees. You just gave to ask. They aren’t mind readers, ya know.I also didn’t feel uncomfortable. I had a moment of gym anxiety but I persevered and made it through the door lol.***want to reiterate the app really is a great tool for unseasoned gym peeps.The gym was very clean. Everyone had masks on (member/guests & employees). I also noticed everyone doing their part in using the MULTIPLE cleaning stations to sanitize their equipment before & after use.I also used the tanning bed which was great.It (lay down bed) scans your pigment to *help prevent burning & skin damage (still tan responsibly.) Which is an awesome feature. I am naturally tan but with the lack of uv rays around here, lately. I wouldn’t want to burn.Overall, it was a great first experience!Thank you***side note for any potential members. Everything that I have read in other reviews regarding amenities for guest or cancellations is listed in the membership information.Just have to read it but it’s all there.They aren’t scammers or trying to rip people off.

The staff is always welcoming and friendly. If there is a problem, they make themselves available.The facility is clean and well organized for individual needs.

It's was awesome, especially the chair massage, it is a great finisher after a intense workout.

PF Eastside is the only gym I would go to. The staff is very friendly, and helpful if you need it. But they are not pushy like most other PF. This gym has got it right.

I enjoy going, and never feel judgedI do see a husband and wife team cleaning a lot, not staff, possible janitorial. But I see them on a regular basis

Everytime i go in the people at the front, greet you. Ask how your day was. The place has always been very clean. The front desk staff. Helpful and always smiling. I appreciate being able to come into the Gym and having smiling faces everytime. I just recently started tanning and the young african american girl at the front desk, LITERAALY spent 20 minutes explaining to me how to apply the cream, which creams might be good for tattoos. What bronzer meant. She went over how to use the booths for tanning and the differences between the different machines. Everytime i've had a question about what to do she's smiling, and happy to help. Thank you PLANET FITNESS TACOMA EASTSIDE!

I got the free day pass online for this location. I walked in with the barcode, ready to go, and I was told that they don’t offer a free day. I just wanted to see if I liked it enough to spend the money on the membership. they said they don’t offer the free day pass anymore because “stuff happened”. They told me I could pay $22 for a day pass. Why would I pay $22? I was told that this place was supposed to be on the more affordable side. How is $22 for a day affordable? Also, it was not welcoming or judgment free as advertised. Regardless, if the free day pass can’t be used for this location, they should not have made it an option online. I find that very unprofessional of planet fitness.
