I could not speak more highly of Coach Ty and Shanita at AZ Bodybuilding! I recently competed in my very first figure competition, and was thrilled to place top 5 in both classes that I competed in. Coach Ty and Shanita were with me every step of the way since Day 1 of prep, and gave me complete guidance with my diet and training, helped to keep me motivated and on track, and also helped me believe in myself. Several times during prep, I wanted to drop out of the competition, "shoot for a later date", or just give up, but having Coach Ty and Shanita behind me, I was encouraged and motivated to keep pushing forward. I really appreciate the fact that they both checked in on me during the week to see how I was doing on my diet and training; it helped keep me accountable not only to myself, but to them. I highly recommend AZ Bodybuilding to anyone looking to get into contest shape, or even to someone just looking for a fun, motivating environment / team to workout with!

Deciding to have gone to AZ Bodybuilding Personal Training was by far one of the best decisions I've made. Coach Shanita, has been nothing short of amazing. Shes always on top of everything and making sure I know all I need to know in order to be ready for competition. She surely knows exactly what she's doing and is great at it.

I have nothing but positive things to say about coach shanita. She is super outgoing and makes you feel comfortable as you train. This is my first ever trainer and I know I won't be going to anyone else. It's nice taking advice from an experienced trainer prepping for her own competitions. She ties in a meal plan that fits my needs and I lost 15 lbs the first month of training with her!! Now I'm gaining muscle and at a healthy weight, all thanks to her.

I feel very lucky that my wife and I stumbled upon AZ Bodybuilding in our search for some personal training. We both knew that we had some things we wanted to work on and some areas of emphasis, but lacked the technical knowledge to get there. After doing some research and making some phone calls we made an appointment to meet Coach Ty Cane and his staff. It was a great decision.AZ Bodbuilding is an intimate gym where Coach Ty and his staff are very welcoming and encouraging. It's clearly a place where serious work is done, but with an air of openness and respect for the clients. We immediately felt at ease there. Since my wife is going to post her own positive review, what follows is focused in my personal experience so far.Now at 49 years old, I had long found the idea of lifting weights to be boring. However I knew that I needed to build up my strength in certain areas and, simply put, I also wanted to look better. At my initial interview with Coach Ty I told him about my concerns and what my goals were. He then embarked on a course of training for me which has already produced visible, measurable results in the four months that I have been going to the gym. My fears of "boredom" also turned out to be misplaced, because with a focused, challenging program, an attentive coach, and clear gains in progress it is hard to get bored.I'm a long-time martial artist, with a background in Kenpo karate and more recently in Brazilian jujitsu. As I've gotten older I've become very conscious of my vulnerability to injury resulting from an inadequate strength and joint support. That, as well as my growing middle-age spread spurred me to action. Now, after these months of training I already feel my knees and shoulders are more stable and resistant to damage.The key to training in any discipline is to have a good coach, place your faith in your coach's advice, and "trust the process". At the beginning, the path to the results I am getting now wasn't clear, and I sometimes failed to understand how both the diet and some of the prescribed exercises would lead to the ultimate result I was seeking. However, Ty Cane is very persuasive so I stuck with his program and the results are indisputable.I can recommend Coach Ty and his people without reservation to anyone who wants some serious personal or small group training. You, and those around you, will see results that please you.

I have known Ty for several years and he is one of the best trainers in the East Valley, hands down. Ty is great at setting you up with personalized goals, tailored meal plans, and energizing workouts. Ty's team is dedicated to helping you reach your fitness goals. A special shout out to AZ Bodybuilding's Shanita who is also Top Class! She brings a fun (but tough) approach to weight training. LOVE IT!!

I've been with Coach Ty and the AZ Bodybuilding team for only a short while but I can say that without a doubt, you get back far more than you put in. The in depth break down of my diet and training program have left not a single doubt in my mind that when the time comes to do my first show I will not only be physically conditioned to dominate, but my mental preparedness will be unrivaled. Coach Ty is a no frills kinda guy but he is also inspiration as well as a great motivator.

found Coach Cane because he trained my husband for a physique competition. Since I wanted to lose some weight and get toned I started training with him as well. Coach started me on a nutrition plan and execute routine that immediately had me getting results.I'm several months in and have had a compete lifestyle change due this experience. I eat much cleaner, look better and feel much better because of it.All the people who train with him get results which is something I haven't seen before.Strongly recommended!

I found AZ Bodybuilding on Instagram and reached out right away to start my first contest prep training. I currently train with Coach Shanita and she is amazing! Her training style is fun and most important it's effective. Staying on track and following her plan will get you winning results from what I've seen. Is it easy? NO! Is it and will it be worth it? YShe is great at what she does and will check in with you to see if it's challenging or struggling. Having her as my mentor through this process fabulous and glad I decided to go with AZ Bodybuilding. Even if I decided later after my show to not do competitions anymore it is still a great place to do personal training with Trainer Shanita Patterson and Owner Coach Ty.
