I have worked with Derek Arellano for several years now and I highly recommend and his training program. Not only did he help me achieve a complete body recomposition, but he taught me how consciously eat, move, take care of my body, and implement tools for overall life success and health. His program is perfect for all fitness levels because he will tailor the exercises and weight to challenge each person individually. Growing up, I never felt like an athlete and was dissatisfied with my body, like many people. Over time, Derek and the Volition team has help me love myself and my body more. I can say with confidence that I now feel like an athlete. 10/10 - I definitely recommend.

When I first started working out with April Ididn't know much about lifting weights. Iwas very nervous to start but she mademe feel very comfortable. She pushes meharder than I would myself and I've gottenso much stronger for it. She helps me staymotivated and I can't imagine my fitnessjourney without her.

I have been working out with Derek at Volition for 3 months and I STILL get excited to wake up every morning and go work out. I think that speaks volumes about the program. In my opinion, the biggest thing that sets them apart is their deep appreciation and knowledge for the human body. I find that to be important because I know that every movement and exercise I do was well thought out and serves my body in the best possible way. They don't just run us through a bunch of exercises - there is always a purpose. Workouts are the perfect mix of challenging and fun which is why I look forward to them!Aside from their knowledge and ability to pass it along, I value the positive community and environment they've created. Everyone in there is positive, uplifting and fun to be around. The accountability is great and the support keeps me motivated.To top it all off, I am in the best shape I have been in in a very long time in just 3 months. This is 100% the best investment I have made for my physical and mental health and I recommend Volition to everyone I know.

Derek and his team are truly impressive and present. I trained with Derek (group classes) years ago and really enjoyed it. Life got busy and I found myself in 2021 ready to join something outside of what I do personally to continue forward momentum. His classes focus on what I consider true health and longevity. He can come to each individual on their level even within the group setting, which is key for someone like me. I never feel intimidated or silly to do something awkward or for the first time. Not only are his instructors present and knowledgeable but he has the best people in his classes as peer supports. It’s truly a community of people who care about health. What a great place to grow!!!

Kayla is such a positive influence and individual to have as a trainer! She helps us to get better every session and is always actively working on making our workouts fun and full of different moves! Small group training sessions with Kayla are the best part of my week! Getting stronger with a group of girls and a trainer who truly cares about fitness and helping women!

Ever since I decided to finally take my health seriously and start training with Volition, specifically with my trainer Kayla, I’ve found a new love that is strength training! I attend Kayla’s all-female small group class twice a week, a semi-private session, and a one-on-one for a total of four days a week. In just a few short months I’ve noticed increased energy outside the gym, an improvement in my mental health overall, and of course physical changes such as healthy muscle growth. I’m excited to continue to train with Kayla and continue to see results. She’s been amazing inside and outside the gym. She always has a plan on which moves we will be doing each session and helps adjust them as necessary to meet our bodies needs. She has helped me develop a personalized macronutrient and calorie plan to maximize my results outside of our sessions. Continues to push me and others to break our personal records with weights because she knows we can handle it. The days are never replicated and always have new or rotated moves to keep things fresh and exciting. Cannot recommend Voliton and Kayla enough!

I’ve been training with Derek for 2 years now and my life has drastically changed because of it. That may sound too good to be true but when I first started training with Derek, I had slipped discs in my lumbar spine and was told by my PT that I shouldn’t lift any weights, but I wasn’t going to take that for an answer, so I found a trainer to work with me. Over time, Derek and I have incorporated movements to not only relieve but eradicate the pain in my lower back with the strengthening of those muscles. I can confidently say that I move better than I ever have before and I have FUN while doing so. Derek’s workouts are challenging, informative and just a lot of fun since he changes things up regularly. Beyond all of that, I have found a community of like-minded, hard working and supportive people through Volition’s group classes. I honestly could give you a million reasons why you should join team Volition but you’ll just have to come in and try their programs out for yourself! What are you waiting for?

The volition team puts together a great circuit based workout each day that will push the limits of your fitness goals, no matter your current level. The group classes are very fun and the other members help motivate you to work as hard as you can through each workout.Would recommend anyone who is looking for a coach dedicated to helping you find a wholistic mind/body approach to fitness and life. Derek and the team will set actionable fitness goals, implement diet improvements and show you a new mental models to make you the best person you can be.

I can't say enough about how positive my experience has been here. You could not find a greater group of people who care about you and your fitness goals. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and rooting for your success. I have been client of Derek Arellano for several years now. Never have I had a greater fitness mentor and advocate for attaining my goals. He is knowledgeable about every exercise and explains the proper technique why doing something this or that way makes a difference. He coaches and designs diets for me to get results. I had been working out and dieting for a long time prior to coming to Volition to learn ultimately that I was doing most everything wrong. Derek has changed all that for me and it has translated into results I can see. My choice to come to Volition was one of the best ones made on my fitness journey.

Believe this! I’ve been training with Derek Arellano for just about five years, and believe he is one of the most experienced and committed trainer around. I started training three times a week, as part of a group session, really enjoying the variety and challenge he puts into the sessions. Derek is focused on helping me achieve my goals and makes every session challenging (& somehow fun). My fitness has increased noticeably and I’ve seen improvements in my ability to complete more sit ups / core exercises, lift progressively heavier weights & generally push myself harder throughout each session. I find I actually look forward to my workouts.Importantly:– He ensures that my technique is always correct to avoid any injuries.– He is extremely reliable & punctual– always set up & ready to start training ahead of time, with an exercise routine planned.I thoroughly enjoy working out with Derek, and would recommend him to everyone looking to improve their fitness with a dedicated and committed trainer.The improved me thanks me (and Derek Arellano)
