I have been training with Kayla for almost two years now and I cannot imagine ever going anywhere else. She is beyond knowledgeable and I never feel like I am going to get hurt working out with her. The time she takes to educate her clients on lifting weights is so valuable and has allowed me to grow and become stronger. She is also always available for any questions and works with my schedule to make sure I am reaching my goals. Kayla is so encouraging and always pushes you to be your best. If your looking for a knowledgeable, amazing trainer then Kayla is the one for you! I cannot recommend Kayla or Volition training enough!

Kayla is an amazing trainer. At Volition, I have been able to learn about the gym and how to lift weights safely and effectively. Kayla doesn't just tell you what to do, she modified as needed and really educates on "the why." She also doesn't stop there. Kayla has helped me overhaul my diet and has given me guidance on how much protein to eat. I've already seen amazing results. At Volition, you're not just another person, you're truly known and understood. I can't think of a better place to go multiple times a week or a better person to train with than Kayla!

I’ve been working with Derek for over a year now. I’ve felt my self get stronger and have continuously been trying new movements the past 14 months. Each workout feels new/refreshing but also sticks to core fundamental movements that are great for strength and mobility. Wherever you’re at in your journey I recommend giving Volition a shot, you won’t be disappointed. I start started with semi-private classes to get the hang of things and gain more 1:1 attention, then once I felt more comfortable I jumped into the group classes, which I still feel I get a lot of attention from Derek as a trainer to make sure I am practicing good form and working hard. I’m happy to have found Derek and plan to stick around!! 10/10 recommend!

Derrick has been my trainer for almost a year. This is the longest I've stuck with a training plan in years. I've gotten so much stronger and more confident in everything I do. He works on balance, movement and strength. He has shown me how to lift weights properly and my sciatica nerve pain plus overall stiffness in gone now. It's a very motivating environment and I feel very comfortable for being an older person. I highly recommend it. 👌

April is such a positive influence and amazing trainer! When I began my fitness journey I knew it was important that I feel comfortable with my trainer and not feel intimidated. It's so easy to go on social media and look for those quick results, but with April she truly educates you on the reason behind the move and which body part this focuses on. She makes sure you're performing the move in a safe manner and will gently correct your form if needed, and she'll always push you to do your best! I've been working with April for two months and have noticed an increase in energy, an improvement on my mental health, and baby muscle growth! Cannot recommend Volition and April enough!

Kayla is an incredible trainer, and an amazing person. When I started on my journey with Kayla, I had lost my passion for the gym and was feeling discouraged by the results I was seeing on my own. I have been training with Kayla for over a year now, and I could not be happier. Kayla cares about each of her clients on a personal level. She has worked with me through hardships in both my personal life and my fitness journey, and has customized my program to what is right for me. Her understanding, compassion, and willingness to work with each of her clients and cater to their lives, goals, and needs is something I had never experienced before meeting her. The atmosphere that Volition has created is one that makes you want to get out of bed in the morning and show up. I could not recommend Volition and Kayla more - changed my life!

The best decision I ever made for my physical health was starting training at Volition with Derek. The attention to detail Derek has for each of his clients is impeccable. I’ve been to different gyms and trainers on and off for years, nothing compares to the workout I get when I train with Derek. I’ve never had a trainer pay so much attention to the way the body moves while working out and explaining in detail how each part of the body works in connection to the workout. Not only does my body feel stronger and more connected, but my mind is in a much better headspace as well! Derek combines body movement and workouts with the conscious mindfulness so that your mind and body work together in harmony. Forever grateful for this business and Derek!

Derek and the Volition team are great. I’ve been training with Derek for about six months now and have experienced very positive results. The biggest differentiator that I have noticed with him vs other trainers is that he takes time to make sure you are training properly. The semi-private size (1-3 people, typically) that I am a part of is great because he is able to give attention to the necessary details to make your training efficient and effective. He takes time to explain the how and the why behind what we do. This helps build confidence in what I do when working with him but, more importantly, gives me the knowledge to take it into my individual training when I’m not with him.He’s also just a genuine dude who cares about how you are doing as a human. I enjoy our chats and he’s a good dude to have in your circle. You’ll never feel like just a client or just a number at Volition.Though I have only worked with Derek, I also want to shout out two other trainers, Kayla and April, who lead women classes. I have witnessed their training while I have worked with Derek and can tell that they are just as passionate and solid at what they do. I would strongly recommend the Volition team to anyone looking to take their fitness and health seriously.

In a word they are AWESOME!Now the story, I have been training at different levels for 25+ years. I have recently developed some shoulder issues that has depleted my upper body strength as well as causing me chronic pain.I walked into Volition on a whim, looking for circuit training and perhaps some group personal training. After speaking with Derek he told me that April would be a good fit. Boy was he right!April, took time to listen to my concerns and we adjusted some movements that almost immediately gave me some great results. Pain levels were greatly reduced, mobility increased and upper body strength started to return. She created custom workouts on their app for me to do while on vacation and on days I was going to the gym on my own….simply amazing.I highly recommend them to anyone at any age or fitness level who wants to build strength and increase flexibility.

I have always needed accountability to help me be consistent with the gym. When I started my fitness journey I began in a Crossfit gym - I loved that I was able to move heavy weight, fast with a community of others around me. Unfortunately, the accountability lacked when it came to learning proper form and I ended up hurt and unmotivated to try something different... Until I met Derek, he TEACHES me movements that BENEFIT my body both in the present and future. I go into the gym excited for the FUN (no mundane schedules) new challenges he presents without the fear of hurting myself. Every single workout is something different but sticks to his consistent programming. I love feeling empowered and strong in the gym and there's nothing quite as empowering as lifting or doing something you thought you couldn't do - PROPERLY. Every movement or challenge I accept helps to give me a little extra boost of pride after every workout. Best part is that his small group classes are the perfect amount of people to create an atmosphere where everyone helps everyone but there's still that edge of friendly competition to do maybe one more rep... or one more round and THAT IS COMMUNITY I crave in the gym! The other Volition trainers, Kayla and Andrew, are there to step in and help if you ever need it, too! I am just so thankful I found this trainer, this gym and these people. Where there's a will, there is a way and that WILL is VOLITION!
