Really nice people working there, always greets me when I walk in super friendly. Loving the personal trainer sessions. Never get over charged for anything or weird payments. All been really smooth and nice.

The music is very loud. Even when I wear active noise cancelling headphones. It is really bothering. I will gladly remove my 2 star review after I see a change in the gym.

Worse than cancelling Comcast!Reopened during covid and immediately started charging again despite my inability to pay due to job loss. Instead of understanding my situation they kept nickel and diming me. I think I've "cancelled" my membership with them 3 times now.

I liked the gym when I went there for a few years, now I've moved away. Can get extremely crowded during after work rush hour and they probably need an expansion. A lot of people apparently refuse to read or abide by the basic terms of their annual membership contract and then cry.

While this place isn’t terrible, it does leave much to be desired. For example, for as long as I have been a member (over a year at least) the four stationary bikes at the front have not worked to one degree or another. One doesn’t work at all. Complaints to management go unheeded ( “management” is nonexistent and very unfriendly) with the same excuses I’ve heard for months.I think there are other facilities that might be worth a look…

The music here is like standing in front of the speakers at a rock concert...too darn loud. A few of the people sitting in the large open office are rude; especially the guy with the black hair made into a mohawk. Not a nice person!! As far as enforcing their own rule about wearing a mask inside the gym...forget about it. It's a joke. They won't do anything and allow people to ignore it. Shouldn't be surprised since they ignored County orders, too.

This gym is very crowded. Management does not require members to wear masks (as required by Ventura County effective August 20,2021), so very few members wear them. Many studies show that masks are far more effective when worn by the infected person, rather than the person trying to stay healthy. This is a good place to catch COVID! Stay away if you want to stay healthy and fit!

Very shady gym/ business. I froze my account before beginning a deployment with the military. They continue to charge me several months so I call, three times to be exact, trying to arrange a refund. They are no help on their end at all levels. So I call the people who handle their accounting, an outside company, who proceeds to ask for proof to verify my prior requests. I then receive an email saying there will be no refund but my account could be cancel, so I cancel and get a confirmation. THEY THEN CHANGE THE NAME ON THE ACCOUNT AND CONTINUE CHARGING ME. DO NOT SIGN UP HERE.

A BIG THANK YOU to the team at Thousand Oaks Golds Gym. Irv, Antoine, the front desk staff, the cleaning staff and all the team members went over and above to keep their members safe during the pandemic. Nothing was easy for them. I'm sure that running a gym during a pandemic and having to deal with the constant changes in rules and all the unknowns proved very stressful for the team. As a member, I am very grateful for all their hard work and daily diligence to put the members safety at the forefront of their operation. Your mission statement certainly holds true, now more than ever "to enhance the quality of life in the communities we serve through our fitness philosophy, facilities, programs, and products and to instill in the lives of people everywhere the value of health and fitness." One of the things we have certainly learned over the last 15 months is a true appreciation for importance of good health & fitness. Go Team Golds!

Outrageous business practices given the current environment. The TO location was convenient to my place of work but not to my home. After I was restricted from attending my office by the Gov, I was no longer able to utilize the gym. I reported this to a Gym rep and let them know I would continue my membership after I was allowed to return to my office. I was told I would be contacted by a Gold's representative to work something out but found out that I have been referred to a collection agency. Way to be part of the community during a tough time Gold's Gym. I will be getting the word out about your irresponsible business practices on multiple platforms. If you have a membership I suggest you drop these guys immediately, I also feel I will be entitled to a legal remedy and will certainly pursue it.
