24 Hour Fitness in Hermosa Beach offers a spacious multi-floor gym with a wide range of equipment, including weights, weight machines, treadmills, ellipticals, a basketball court, pool, and saunas. The gym has a good layout and friendly staff, creating a motivating workout environment. However, the facility is often crowded, especially during peak hours, and suffers from cleanliness issues.
The gym has undergone some recent improvements, such as upgrading equipment and refurbishing the wet area. Despite these improvements, many members have expressed frustration with the gym's limited hours, which contradicts the '24 Hour' branding. Issues with broken equipment, inconsistent cleaning, and poor management detract from the overall experience, making it less appealing to potential new members.

Not open late enough. Would be 5 stars if it was actually open 24 hours, or at least until 1AM. As is, things can get crowded in the evenings.Without extended hours it’s tempting to switch to a smaller gym.

Two stars for the management improving the equipment and facilities. Without that, this would be a zero-star review. The patrons are horrible, especially in the weight room; easily the worst of any gym I have ever visited. I have never seen messier weights. Hardly anyone re-racks properly, and some days you spend half your time roaming the gym for a matching dumbbell. I've even had another patron take a weight off my barbell, while I was using it, because he "needed it." When I die, it will probably be by the hand of someone at this gym that took the wrong dose of steroids.

Huge improvement over the last manager, it's cleaner, safer, and you don't have the old manager telling a lot of us that somehow we were to blame for what was his inability to manage.

HorribleKids getting in free and then at a discount price after summer. Every machine has a group of teens. Can’t even get a workout .

Honestly I’m just annoyed that it closes so early. I just wanted to workout after a long day and my first chance was at 9pm. Whoops guess 24 hours is too much to ask for 24 hour fitness.

My last review was not a good one, but there have been improvements. There is an actual cleaning crew now, and when they are working they do a great job. It looks like the ellipticals and basketball court are getting upgraded. I’ll add more stars when cleaning is more consistent and newer equipment gets added. Good job improving though!

This location has finally refurbished their wet area and saunas. It used to be badly deteriorating, falling apart and had sewer flies all the time. Now, it's pleasant to visit.
