24 Hour Fitness in Hermosa Beach offers a spacious multi-floor gym with a wide range of equipment, including weights, weight machines, treadmills, ellipticals, a basketball court, pool, and saunas. The gym has a good layout and friendly staff, creating a motivating workout environment. However, the facility is often crowded, especially during peak hours, and suffers from cleanliness issues.
The gym has undergone some recent improvements, such as upgrading equipment and refurbishing the wet area. Despite these improvements, many members have expressed frustration with the gym's limited hours, which contradicts the '24 Hour' branding. Issues with broken equipment, inconsistent cleaning, and poor management detract from the overall experience, making it less appealing to potential new members.

Staff is great in Hermosa, but the parent Corp is a bunch of criminals. Watch your billing closely. They love to double bill and will randomly increase your rates without any notice. Terrible company.

24 Hour Fitness has now charged my card twice during the COVID pandemic, while their doors have been closed...where are your ethics and how is this allowed? You're not even offering your service. Meanwhile my car insurance company is providing discounts and refunds because people are driving less, while you do nothing.

Staff is great, but I'm not pleased with the equipment. I UPGRADED from a 24hr sport in foothill ranch - paying more money now, and money aside I miss my old gym. Here are my complaints:- No 2.5 lb plates anywhere- No bar clamps- No platforms for deadlifts/powercleans- No bumper platesI've had to spend more of my money to buy some of these things and bring them with me every time. Also, weights always seemed to be scrambled out of place or left on equipment, more so than other gyms I've been to. There's definitely a shortage of 5/10 lb plates as well.If you go to the gym for the treadmill, machines, or calisthenics, this will serve fine but if you're interested in powerlifting and other free weight exercises, this isn't the best location.

I went there today. The members are taking off their masks once past the front desk. Now I understand why it is so empty there. I did not feel safe at all. Members are working out with their masks off, grunting and breathing hard. That action should send any germs in their system well into the air.The facility and staff are great. I will probably love the place again once the Covid 19 virus gets contained. It is the thoughless members there that are driving the other members away

the pool and jacuzzi and steam room are not kept up. dirty floors around the area. and the men's bathroom and showers and locker rooms are unkempt as well. the jacuzzi is closed more than its open. they have a lot of staff members working to sell memberships and checking when you check in..but only one house keeping gentleman I've seen rarely cleaning. the parking is free here and always plenty of parking too. the machines upstairs in the gymnasium are dirty as well. great location. friendly staff. free parking. but poorly maintained.

My fault that I did not know if I had an active membership or not, but they charged my for a new membership, and then after told me I had one that was active.....and then I had to call in 5...yes, 5 times to cancel the extra charge after being told it was taken care of. Would not recommend for a second

One of the worst gyms I've ever been to. Visiting and got a day pass for $25.. you basically get nothing for that. No towel, no wifi, no lock and to boot the gym is hot like a sauna and the receptionist couldn't care less about you. Don't think I'd ever go full time here.

I've been here about a year and a half. They cancelled several of the studio classes due to cost, cranked up membership fees, and most of the equipment stays broken for weeks. Outdated equipment is covered in rust from sweat drippings. The bathroom showers are gross and hairy. They've had one new piece of equipment since I've been here--a stairmaster.
