24 Hour Fitness in Hermosa Beach offers a spacious multi-floor gym with a wide range of equipment, including weights, weight machines, treadmills, ellipticals, a basketball court, pool, and saunas. The gym has a good layout and friendly staff, creating a motivating workout environment. However, the facility is often crowded, especially during peak hours, and suffers from cleanliness issues.
The gym has undergone some recent improvements, such as upgrading equipment and refurbishing the wet area. Despite these improvements, many members have expressed frustration with the gym's limited hours, which contradicts the '24 Hour' branding. Issues with broken equipment, inconsistent cleaning, and poor management detract from the overall experience, making it less appealing to potential new members.

Plenty of equipment to go around. No waiting. Place is a bit too big with machines scattered in no particular order. But they have what you need. And never did I see a line of machines out of order. Rich is rare in big name gyms. Would of given it more stars if I wasn't first greeted by a pushy douchebag salesman named Ray.

I came to Hermosa Beach for 3 weeks for Business and I'm trying to close a new project with my client so I can move to this area next month. Yesterday, I decided to check out the gyms around and I found this gym called "24 hours fitness" which is very close to the hotel where I'm staying. I saw in their web site that they offer a "3 free day pass' so I decided to get it. I filled out some information in their web page and I got an email with my "3 free day pass". Today I went to the gym to start my trial period and they let me work out for that moment then when I was leaving, the manager, a guy called Ray, tried to force me to purchase a membership. He said that usually there's a $150 fee + a $40 monthly payment + a commitment of 1 year. He said that if I do it today I don't pay the $150 fee. well, I thought I could try the gym for 3 days and he said that I would have to pay $25 dolars per day. I just wonder if they have ever gotten a customer with that approach. Also I wonder if it was just a discrimination once he realized that I'm not a native English speaker and maybe he thought that I was just a tourist that would never become a client. That was one of the most ridiculous thing that I've ever seen in my whole 33 years of life. I was going to buy a protein at the gym because I don't have any at the hotel but after this terrible experience I ended up buying it at another store right across the street. Unfortunately, when I move to this area, that is the gym that I will never walk in. Also I'm going to talk to my attorney to give this guy(or the institution) what they deserve.

Not too pricey but I feel it's worth it. The gym can get packed depending if its peak hours but there's so many options that it's easy to improvise and find a spot on equipment. It's really big, pretty clean, people are friendly and outgoing, a tad humid but a good gym experience. Shout out to "Ray Ray" for hooking me up. Check it out!

The equipment is good. The people that lift are friendlier than most gyms. There's many serious lifters which I like, but plenty of more casual people. Everyone is polite and respectful, at least that I've run into. As a women who lifts, I don't always find that to be true at gyms.I wish the pool changing were cleaner, it's filthy. The upstairs women's changing room is much cleaner.

Of all the 24Hr Fitness locations in the South Bay area, this location is the largest, nicest and cleanest. It still has typical gym issues like not all people wiping down the machines or leaving paper towels on the gym floor, not always racking weights and does get very busy till 8pm excluding Friday and weekends. That being said, most equipment is in working order and they usually have multiples of everything. I like that this location has multiple squat racks and cable machines. I've been to other locations that only have 1 or 2 of each and Hermosa has 4 of each. For the bathrooms, they are cleaner than other 24HR but some days it can smell. So far I haven't used the showers, pool, spa or sauna but would caution the use of the pool only because the smell of chlorine is really strong. For the clientele, it is a mixed of young and old. A lot of people are fit which is motivating.Staff is a mixed-bag but the night front desk staff is usually friendly.

Worst 24 I've been to in southern California. Crowded, congested, loud and not clean. Never going back.

Staff are so sticky, they force you to sign up, don't let you work out. I regret wasting my guest pass here. I'll never go until owner changes staff or at least train them to learn how to treat, respect and communicate with potential members.and... super rude...............so agree...,
