24 Hour Fitness in Hermosa Beach offers a spacious multi-floor gym with a wide range of equipment, including weights, weight machines, treadmills, ellipticals, a basketball court, pool, and saunas. The gym has a good layout and friendly staff, creating a motivating workout environment. However, the facility is often crowded, especially during peak hours, and suffers from cleanliness issues.
The gym has undergone some recent improvements, such as upgrading equipment and refurbishing the wet area. Despite these improvements, many members have expressed frustration with the gym's limited hours, which contradicts the '24 Hour' branding. Issues with broken equipment, inconsistent cleaning, and poor management detract from the overall experience, making it less appealing to potential new members.

The filthiest 24 I've ever been in. So much broken equipment. You have to check out Barbell Collars because, I guess people steal them? Wow! This is supposed to be a super sport. No towel service no executive lockers. Broken, outdated cardio equipment, crappy layout, broken doors in the steam room. The one thing it has going for it is the small TRX and the personal training area is cleanish. It's pretty much a sport with a super sport name but run down to boot! If I was the GM I'd be ashamed. I'll go back because it's near where I work but it's not worth it if you can find something closer. It's definitely the most in-Super super sport you can go to.

Visited here from out of town. Spoke with Timothy about a day pass. Excellent customer service. Nice friendly staff. Equipment seemed fine. Wasn’t sparkling new stuff, but everything I used worked fine. Would definitely come back. Thanks for the hospitality guys!

Great gym, friendly staff. Can get a bit busy at times, but they have a decently large space inside.Weights, treadmills, weight machines, ellipticals, a basketball court, swimming pool, jacuzzi, dry and steam saunas, and locker rooms and showers. They are a “Super Sport” gym at the time of this review, so keep in mind that you have to pay nearly double the regular membership price for access to this gym.

I have been working out for the last 10 years and have never had an experience as bad as I had here. Was attempting to sign up for a 3 day pass but ultimately never made it into the gym. After waiting for 5 minutes for a representative to help me, I was denied entry due to the fact I had just moved to CA from out of state. The rep had zero personality and was extremely rude. He then attempted to strong arm me into a membership, or pay the 25 dollar day rate. He then gave me one membership option and told me no other gym in LA would allow me in with an out of state ID, which I know is false. All in all I was treated very unfairly and would highly recommend anyone considering this gym to seek elsewhere.

I’ve been a member here for many years and while it’s inexpensive and some staff are reasonably friendly, all the signs suggest it’s really poorly managed. Broken equipment sits for weeks with no physical sign to tell customers that it’s being fixed; when you tell the front desk staff they say, “oh yes we know. We reported it weeks ago.” Equipment is aging and filthy. Air conditioning in the spin room is set on a timer and sometimes just doesn’t want to turn on, leaving it hot and steamy. The front desk relies upon the manager to reset the timer, but of course no manager works on the weekends. Come on 24 ... you can do better.
