Rachel Portal is a top notch instructor at the Edge Bristol location. She teaches two of my favorite classes - Body Combat and Body Balance. Her style of teaching makes everyone in the class feel comfortable. Her approach in Body Combat is very energetic yet at the same time offers support for her class members. Body Balance follows Combat and is a great way to become more flexible. Again, Rachel switches from high intensity to a more relaxing instructional style. She truly is a five star instructor!!!

I started going to The Edge, Bristol after moving to Farmington last year. I came from a gym in Maine with a very involved community where I felt at home and at first I was nervous to join a new gym in an area where I didn’t know many people. I instantly felt right at home due to the very friendly staff who is always happy to help you or chat. In my experience, the other members are also very nice and easy to talk to. Saving the best for last, my trainer is Ryan Bishop. In a very short amount of time I have made incredible progress in my strength training and with his guidance and now plan on competing in the spring. I never could have imagined the possibility of competing without his encouragement. He’s extremely knowledgeable in mobility and power lifting and the most fun trainer around!

I’ve been going to the edge for a year and a half now and I could not be happier with my experience! Everyone at the Edge is extremely supportive and friendly. Ryan is an awesome trainer! He is extremely supportive in helping you achieve your goals and getting comfortable in the gym. He keeps your training interesting and challenging and is great at explaining and demonstrating each workout.

Love participating in all classes Rachel Portal teaches. She is an amazing instructor. Clear in her instructions, very professional and knowledgeable. Will take extra time to ensure participants are being safe and offers modifications for those who have restrictions. Rachel makes everyone feel comfortable and she also provides comedic relief at times. Makes taking her classes veryEnjoyable. Just love her. 😃😃

Been going here for 4 years. The staff here are amazing. Would not switch gyms in my life. Affordable with lots more variety of activities than say Planetfitness.
