I love this gym!I came to Absolute MMA one year ago. I’d never taken any sort of martial arts class, and frankly didn’t really like exercising very much. I’m just a normal stay at home mom that thought it would be fun to learn how to kick and punch. The Muay Thai class is challenging and hard work, but it’s also fun! I eventually tried Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and I love it!Absolute MMA has helped me make a huge change for the better in my life. I am in better shape at 43 than I’ve been in for at least 15 years. My endurance and cardio levels are much higher, and my confidence in myself as a person has grown.Rob and Pedro and the other instructors are the best. They’re skilled and have years of experience and knowledge. They know just how hard to push you and motivate you to be your best. One of the best things about Absolute MMA is the people. I’ve made so many friends here of all ages. They welcomed me in, they encourage me, and they make me laugh. It’s truly one of the best parts of my day.

To put it simply Absolute MMA is the best MMA gym in the state of Utah. Nowhere else will you find the level of instruction and professionalism that is offered at the gym, coaches Pedro and Rob are both fantastic instructors and mentors with a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for the sport and the technique.Whether you are looking to become a fighter, trying to get in shape, or just want to have fun this is the place for you.Absolute has helped me lose over 40 pounds in just a few months and my self confidence and level of fitness are at new highs. The people at the gym are friendly and inviting and always willing to help you, no one has an ego they bring with them into the gym. It is a fun learning environment where if you can't do something or don't know how people will take time out of the their day to help you and teach you. Absolute is truly a home away from home and every day there is a blast, I can't recommend this gym enough.

Absolute MMA is not just a gym it is a community, a community where all are welcome and encouraged to achieve excellence in whatever level is desired. This gym is for everyone, people participate for a number of reasons including fitness, recreation, and fighting.Since I have joined Absolute MMA I have found it to be a refuge from the mundane and everyday stressors life can throw at you. Every time I train I learn something new, whether it be from the instructors or from other gym members. The members of Absolute are void of ego which is a huge plus, takes off the pressure and allows you to relax and learn.Cannot speak enough of the culture of this gym. Everyone is respectful, hard working, and willing to push themselves to the next level. I believe this culture comes from the top down; from the leadership that Rob and Pedro demonstrate.I would recommend Absolute MMA to anyone regardless of your fitness level.Come train and achieve.

The Training is Great all though I would not call it an MMA gym, because although they teach jujitsu, alittle Judo and some "Understanding" of Muay Thai, they are really not a fighting Gym, but more of a grappler Gym. So for those wanting to learn about attacking with strikes or defending against them, this is Not the right gym for you. Also for those who work their hours are awful! There are really only two to three classes a day. One about the time when most of us are at or going to work 10am(this class changing between Jujitsu and Muay Thai styles every day) and another one at 6pm or 7pm. The prices are crazy high for such little amount of times they have avaliable to attend. $110 per month for a year Contract, $150 for a month-month and so on.Their understanding of Jujitsu is one of the highest if not the best in Utah, But they need to work out a better schedule and get some actual fight applicable classes for those of us who want to understand fighting on the ground. All and all Great Jujitsu, the rest Meh.. WAY over priced and aweful hours.

One of the best gyms anywhere in the country that I have found. Rob has a wealth of knowledge and has a way of teaching that really connects with everyone from beginner to advanced students.

The old adage goes: Success is dependent on Effort. Most high level athletes or really, any successful person understands this to be true. There are no short cuts. There is no magic. What you put in, is what you get out; equivalent exchange. That being said, what separates two individuals with the same intentions, the same determination and the same force of will? The answer is knowledge. This is also what separates Absolute MMA from almost any other gym you will walk into. Absolute is not for everyone. If you have a large ego, don’t take direction well, like to pick on those smaller than yourself or are in a hurry to become a “cage fighter”, your experience will not be a pleasant one. However, if you are patient and willing, with an open mind, you will quickly realize the immense collection of knowledge available to you and just how lucky you are to have found it. I have been fighting professionally for several years now. My only regret, is not finding this gym sooner because, I sincerely feel that all my precious time and effort spent elsewhere was a complete waste. If the price is a concern, consider this; is a cheaper waste of time and energy truly a better value? There are many gyms but, only one is Absolute.

Absolute MMA has been my second home for over three years now, and it just keeps getting better. We have friendly, dedicated instructors that invest in each student. Rob, Pedro, and Camrann are extremely knowledgeable, with attention to detail that is unparalleled. Each of our coaches has experience on the mat, and it shows. My fellow teammates are incredibly encouraging, fun, and talented. When we are not training on the mat, we are all hanging out watching fights, attending a teammates' wedding, or just being awesome. Everyone in the gym is invested in your success at Absolute MMA. There are no gimmicks, and it isn't a meat market. You will be in the best shape of your life, and you will meet some of the best people around. Everyone is welcome, and everyone who works hard is treated like family. If you are looking to fight, or if you are looking for a place to get in shape, this is it. They offer an amazing variety of classes: judo, muay Thai, wrestling, kettlebells, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. All skill levels are welcome. The schedule is incredibly varied, and has worked well for me over the years in spite of full-time work and school.Come train with us, you won't regret it!

I have been going to Absolute MMA off and on for about 3 years. It has been by far the best place for not only the best training in Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai, but also the hardest workouts I have ever had. Rob has an amazing wealth of knowledge and I learn so much every time I step into the gym. The staff as well as the patrons there are top notch. If you are looking for a "macho" gym, this isn't it. Everyone is welcoming and teaching, but at the same time, you will get your butt kicked if you aren't consistent.I have enrolled my son in their kids class. I have had him and my other kids enrolled in other martial arts classes in the past and this by far has taught him much greater self esteem, self awareness, and confidence. He has loved coming to class and learning how to roll, how to choke, how to get out of submission holds as all the classes have a good trainer to student ratio and are guided during the entirety of their class. He has felt more accomplished in this class in a shorter amount of time than the other martial arts classes he had attended in the past. The quality of teaching and knowledge is above any other that we have experienced. I couldn't ask for better trainers for my child...or me, to learn from.

I am 34 years old, and I have been working out at Absolute MMA for about a year now, and my experience has been nothing short of life-altering. The Absolute instructors, and the Absolute team are extremely supportive, knowledgeable, and down-to-earth. I have never felt marginalized, or insignificant because of my lack of experience. My experience has been so good that I have enrolled my 8 year old in the kids courses, and she loves it! Furthermore, my wife has even gotten the opportunity to take part in the FREE(!!!) women's seminars offered by the gym, and she also found it to be a very supportive environment.I'm proud to tell my friends and family that I train at Absolute MMA, and would recommend to anyone interested to do the same!!
