Hype Athletics

I got a call about not having paid an annual fee. I called the number back and I was on hold for a long time. I went to the gym and they said my insurance had already paid the fee. 9 months later and I am still getting the spam calls from the Hype Athletics auto message. I only went to that gym twice! Not worth it because of the spam calls, lack of communication, and voice mails.

The gym is closed four days for the diversity festival. I don’t understand how this works. That’s four days we don’t get to workout yet we’re still paying our membership dues. I don’t want to drive to the Wayne location. I want to use the women’s gym.

Love the womens only gym especially Jackies class! High energy, great workout and already feeling healthier! Wish there were more classes that she taught everyday!

Paid in full for the year, then my card starts getting charged with a late fee, I contacted them they said its a service fee, even when I paid it off in full for the year, they want to still charge my card for new things they made up. Wouldn't recommend. Let see if they resolve this.

What great facilities. From the programs and support given to the community to the private women's gym & child care. Just all around a great place! I will continue to support for years to come!THANK YOU!

Guys Jackie is the best I swear she’s literally amazing she does an amazing job at the gym and she makes sure she does her job at the ladies side. I hope I spelled her name right sorry if I didn’t lol. Love youuuu, been here for 2 yrs and it hasn’t been any better❤️

I have been going to this recreational center for a few years and they are very friendly as well as helpful…….once I brought my sister with me,who was actually going into a diabetic coma at the time her sugar was 24 and had it not been for the staff whom immediately went into action to help me with her,I don’t know what the outcome would’ve been, because I was a nervous wreck and they calmly and quickly went into action I’m so grateful and thankful for them…..Also I would like to add that I’m an African American woman and they have never been rude or disrespectful to me

Not a good experience, the mens bathroom. Only had one stall opened , the other had broken door hanging on the floor the whole weekend. Came here for my son’s basketball tournament and they over charged for everything from the door 15 dollars a day!!!!!!!Don’t ever have to come here again…

DEFINITION OF SCAMMERS!!!!!!I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The gym itself is okay but in order to have a membership you have to have a card on file and they always overcharge you. I go in to make my payments on time and they told me I was “late” even though I still have the receipt with the time and date showing that I was clearly on time. I just payed the rest of my membership in full so I no longer have to deal with late fees or them trying to charge my card. I just got a message that they tried charging my card for $35 even though I paid my membership in full (which I doubled checked that I paid in full). They are literally the definition of scammers. Now I have to go in and argue for the 3rd time in order for them to stop charging me these unnecessary payments. I wouldn’t recommend letting these people have your card information because they obviously only care about money. A similar situation also happened to my mother and friend but I still had hope they wouldn’t repeat the same mistakes with me. (If you still choose to attend this gym make sure you keep all your receipts with you because they also love to lie about you being late or not making a payment at all)

Doc has one if the best aau teams and coaches around. This man takes care and loves the girls on his team so much. He is not about the money he goes over and beyond for the youth in this organization. The man is so beyond underrated for the care and compassion he has for kids.
