Dahn Yoga is so much more than just a body yoga practice. They really emphasize body, mind, and spirit and how to connect the three into a beautiful whole. The staff are extremely warm, helpful, and knowledgeable. I've been a member since October of 2014, and I've seen so many positive changes in myself it's unreal! I feel more free, happy, and all around better about myself and life... I feel confident now that I can create anything I put my mind to. I can't wait to see my growth in the future! The sky is the limit!

I wanted to update my December 2013 review (see below).Since that review, management has restructured and there have been several positive changes. The level of instruction has improved markedly, mostly due to the fact that the current manager, Amy nim, teaches class regularly. Her instruction is superb and she has an intuitive sense regarding what direction to take each class. Her communication during class to correct a pose, suggest graduated levels of difficulty, etc., adds a personalization that creates a unique energy amongst our community of practitioners. The number of people attending class is back to our previous high (yet comfortable) levels. It feels good when you walk into the class, People who practice yoga know what I'm talking about. Oh and another thing. The musical selections complement each segment of the class. I am grateful to have a voice and be part of this evolving studio. My hope is that Dahn Yoga is able to leverage their unique approach (which highlights the study of energy) and adapt as needed in order to grow their business successfully. The changes I've seen in the studio in the last month give me hope.Review dated December 2013:I have been a Dahn Yoga member at the Westminster Center for a little over a year. Up until a few months ago, I was relatively satisfied with my membership although they really push you to take extra workshops which are hundreds of dollars. Sorry, but I joined to take classes and I shouldn't have to fork over that kind of money to do "extra".Recently, the management has changed and the quality of the instruction has eroded to the point where I leave class early, frustrated that the instruction is sub-par. I could do better being at home watching the Yoga in a Chair Lady or following a DVD.I have spoken with the manager, James nim, numerous times about the quality of the classes, and am nearing the end of my rope. Our previous manager, Amy nim, taught classes every day and was an excellent, skilled instructor. Our current manager is also skilled but he always has lots of reasons he cannot teach. Why was our previous manager able to teach but he is not?The number of people who attend class has decreased dramatically- from about 10-15 a class to now maybe 5-7. That should be a warning in and of itself but James nim seems more invested in selling his private $100 per hour individualized healing sessions.I hope my next review will be more positive but right now, my reluctant advice and warning is DO NOT JOIN THE WESTMINSTER DAHN YOGA CENTER.

Absolutely love Dahn Yoga. Been going here for a year & a half. In that time my physical health has greatly improved. My emotional & mental health has been at it's best durning this time. My relationships have changed in so many good ways. I have found peace, love, & contentment within myself & my life since practicing Dahn Yoga. The energy is amazing. Amy is my favorite instructor. If you do anything for yourself do this. Every soul needs Dahn yoga. Enjoy :)

I have been a member of Dahn Yoga for a little over three years. I originally became a member to deal with some physical issues that had prevented me from doing regular workouts at a health club of which I had been a member for a number of years. I wanted to do some exercises that would improve my strength and flexibility but without aggravating the injuries I had sustained that were preventing me from doing my regular routine at the health club. Through Dahn Yoga I have been able to do this. In fact, in the process I also lost 65 lbs. and feel better than I have in the past 10 years. Even more importantly than all of these things, however, I have learned some facets of the art of meditation and other mind-calming techniques. Now, when I am under stress I use this to relax my muscles and my mind. If I don't have time to do a thorough job of meditating I can at least breathe deeply and do some exercises in my office at work to help relieve the stress. Long and short, Dahn Yoga is about a lot more than improving your strength and flexibility, although that is a big part of it. Now, after three years of this practice I am happier, I have more confidence in my abilities in my regular employment, and I have a much more optimistic view of the future since I now have more tools I can use to deal with the stress and challenges of life.I would recommend Dahn Yoga to anyone. If you just want to improve flexibility and strength you can do that. If you want to learn more about meditation you can do that too. There is also Tai Chi and a non-fighting form of martial arts available to members, as well as other specialized trainings. If you really put your effort into this you can transform yourself however you want. I know this because I have done it. It hasn't been an easy road and I am still a work in progress, but now I feel better about myself and have confidence that I will continue to improve my health, my outlook on life, and my ability to deal with future challenges.
