1/29/16 Update: Planet Fitness has refunded the entire amount for which they wrongly charged us. 1/26/16 Update: This establishment did not refund the correct amount and did not even contact us back. 1/23/16 Original Review: Don't do it, they'll charge you even after you cancel, when canceling isn't even easy. You do get a gym, but you also get charged after you cancel, just like any other gym membership.

Someone at this location around 4pm today decided it would be okay to say something really cruel to one of my friends that is a really good guy. He is a hard worker goes to school and is a very productive person in society. I don't know if it was meant to be malicious or just trying to be funny but to look at someone's name and ask them "please don't bomb us" that is really disrespectful. People that think the way you do is the reason people want to harm Americans. It's funny that planet fitness as a whole claim a non judgmental workout place so why is this kind of judgement okay?

I started up with the Planet Fitness at the Aurora facility, which is quite a bit larger then this 72nd location. Overall the 72nd location is really clean, the staff are very welcoming and very happy to help you out with just about anything you may need. The only complaint that I have about this location is that they use paper towels instead of actual towels. Kind of chincey, but I understand cutting costs. I would recommend this location over the 92nd location. The 92nd location has some staff that are standoffish, and much less pleasant to do business with. Keep up the good work 72nd!

Make sure you never get hurt and never want to cancel they want $58 to cancel couldn't afford it so I thought maybe I should down grade membership to $10 they still wanted $58 *********PLANET FITNESS IS MONEY HUNGRY**

The equipment is always broken & you're always waiting to use something. Their customer service & manager are very bad & rude. They do not work well with others. My mom went in there a month before we were able to cancel out accounts. They gave her a date she had to come in, but did not inform her that I had to mail in my request since I now live 2hrs away. The day before the date they inform her that I have to send in a letter. I refuse to pay another month since I no longer live near any of their locations. They wouldn't even allow me to cancel over the phone & told me I can pay another month & come in before I get charged again or send in the letter as they should've informed my mother the first time she asked. I am now having to travel two hours just to cancel my acct so I won't get charged again.

My visit hours to this location are around 11pm-1am, I've been a member since May and have been going there in a nightly basis. The staff in this location is always very welcoming. All the machines and the gym itself is kept in pristine shape.

I'm a fan of this location because it's always clean and it's open 24 hours, which means I can come and go as I please. My only issue is that there are no barbell flat, incline, or decline benches, and there are no squat racks; only smith machines. When it comes time for leg day, I have to go elsewhere since I can't do squats, hang cleans, or dead lifts.

I have been going here for two weeks and have had a great time. Staff is Friendly and Everything is clean and in working order. I usually go in around 430AM to 6AM and its pretty empty.One small complaint as I think its weird is there is a guy who is always asleep at the table by the doors. Looks semi homeless. Seen him there at least 5 times.

This location is pretty nice, but not very large. Really my only complaint is that it is so busy it's hard to get a bench for the free weights, or the machine you want to do a timely workout. Also, not the fault of the staff, but nobody seems to wipe down after using the machines. If you go during off peak times everything is great.

Been a Black card member since 12/15 and I really like the staff and facility. When you enter the location the staff greets you warmly. Since I've been there the equipment and facilities are clean and functional. The amenities offered Black card members are fantastic. I would pay the $20 a month just to do the Hydro-Massage daily.
