Yeah this went bad real quick…and their hours are total garbage. Just the hours alone aren’t worth the money let alone seeing the obvious negative public reaction to the new transition. Be better off in a 24 hour planet fitness so at least the 3rd shifters can get a work out in and get somewhat of their moneys worth.

Transitions are hard for everyone, but I havent had any negative interactions with the new Genesis staff and haven't experienced any problems. I'm sure it takes a bit for a business to get in the swing of things so I'm not worried, I'm still enjoying the facility and that as a previous Vasa member, I get to keep the same rate for as long as my membership is active

The girl at the front desk (I think her name was Cherise?) would not let me cancel!! I used to be a VASA member, I loved VASA and everything about them. The girl told me I had to talk with a trainer first before I could cancel. Why do I have to talk to a trainer before I can cancel?! I told her I've had bad experiences with the Steven's and Genesis. I left the location and I called a different Genesis and they told me anyone can do the paperwork and she should've let me cancel without speaking with a trainer first. So, I drove to a different Genesis and they printed off the papers for me to sign.Making people talk to a trainer prior to canceling or making people jump through hoops isn't going to help you hold onto anyone.

Wow, pretty cool new place to use as a Genesis member. Love the natural light, open floor plan, and all of the strength equipment. Gotta love the turf and swimming pool, too! Not to mention hot tub, sauna, steam room, and massage beds. Will be relaxing here a lot.

Like myself, many of the current active members of the gym are former VASA members. With all the rumors and with the sudden transition to GHC, many people left. Yes, I do miss the old VASA crew a lot. But enough has remained unchanged, including new group classes, that the experience is not all that different than it was before. I miss VASA, but the workers at Genesis are doing everything they can to make the experience here really comfortable. Many of the complaints folks had in the beginning seem to have been addressed. I am now proud to say this is my home gym again.

Since the transition from VASA to GHC, the entire original staff has either been fired or quit. I went to 3 different treadmills because they were absolutely filthy. They don't replace soap in the bathrooms consistently. I stood by the front counter for 12 minutes waiting for assistance. Blonde woman at the front continued to assist others while I waited to borrow a piece of equipment. Other employees sat at their desks and said nothing to me. VASA employees would actually multi-task and I would have assistance almost immediately. VASA employees made it a priority to greet me upon arrival and always said goodbye before I left, no matter who it was. These small things made a big difference in the gym-going experience and its incredibly disappointing when they just stare at you without a word. Drink prices have increased significantly as well for some reason. I understand this may be a difficult time for GHC employees with vitriol and cancelations happening every single day, but ignoring your members that are barely hanging on by a thread is not the path they should be choosing. In conclusion, the most disappointing thing about this experience has been the new staffs lack of attention and care to their members, the absolutely regression in cleanliness (right after COVID too!), the slowly disappearing amenities like the Fitness cinema, significantly increased prices on drinks and snacks, and to me, most importantly, the lack of soul and life this gym once had. Packed Saturdays and Sundays, the joyous atmosphere, the caring employees, the colorful characters that used to go here, all of will be nothing but a memory in the eyes of the people who truly cared about this gym.

I love this gym! Everybody here is so kind and helpful. Julian Macy the manager is so cool and makes you feel like you can achieve all your goals. All it takes is one step to get closer to your goals and this gym is the place to do it!

Since the switch over to genesis I noticed it’s been worse, never stocked on towels when it’s not even busy, can barley find clips when benching or squatting. The bathrooms, and private bathrooms are dirty or always have towels all over the place. They haven’t made the gym better they changed the name and hired less people. Just recently they changed the time of closing without any warning, no email or announcement. Genesis doesn’t care they want you to upgrade your membership to access there 24 gym they want your money

Julian was very friendly and helpful whenever I came in to set up a membership! We also found out we share the same last name! I was a little nervous about coming back to the gym, but they helped make me feel more motivated and determined to come back better than ever!!
