Need more free weights. The only thing close is the Smith Machine, and they are always taken when I arrive, and have to do something else because I have no choice.

4/16 - Updating my post. I was contacted by Planet Fitness. They continue to talk in circles and charge me money even though my year long commitment already ended in March. They state I should have submitted a form to end my membership. I was never given a form to fill out even though I spoke with their staff several times about how to end my membership. I have now sent them a certified letter because it is all important they have my "signature" to end my membership. I SIGNED A YEAR LONG CONTRACT. A YEAR IS A YEAR. THE YEAR IS OVER. STOP STEALING MONEY FROM PEOPLE._______________________________________________________________Planet Fitness is another scam gym. I signed a year long contract. I spoke with about 6 managers about ending my membership when I moved to another the state, and I was told that when my contract was over my membership ended. I asked him to confirm this with his manager and he said that he did. Of course that was not the case. They charged me $39 for another year. THEY ARE CHEATING LIARS. And they had the gall to tell me I was confused. And the conversation I had with the manager never happened. Adding insult to injury. STAY AWAY FROM PLANET FITNESS IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR MONEY AND PRECIOUS TIME STOLEN from you. I have spent the entire morning arguing with their front desk people who change their story every time you speak with them.

I AM WONDERING IF THE MANAGEMENT CAN PROVIDEBARBELL CURL ROD AND ZIGZAG ROD. SO WE CAN PUT MORE WEIGHTS. RIGHT NOW THE HIGHEST WEIGHT FOR BOTH RODS IS 60 POUNDS.

There is never more than one person at the desk.This often leads to dirty areas. No paper towels etc.Tanning booths used as storage closets.If you need something from the desk, somtimes they are conducted job interviews which take 20-30 minutes.Overall I wouldn't recommend it

After years of paying way too much for a messy unclean YMCA I am very pleased with the Cross gates Commons facility. They offer massage chairs and a hairdresser (check for their hours) and the facility is very, very clean and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a good experience and makes me want to exercise more.

I used to have a membership at the Rotterdam location, years ago.I recently signed up for a new membership for the new year at the Crossgates Commons location. During my hiatus, my information was used at the Glenville, NY location, albeit with differing billing information, and six months of charges and late fees were accrued without me knowing, totaling nearly $200.I went for my first visit (with a guest) to the Crossgates Commons location and the manager informed me that I would need to settle the fraudulent account in Glenville in order to use my new membership at Crossgates Commons. Mind you, I should not be held responsible for fraudulent accounts.I was also told that there is NO recourse for this. No forgiveness, no ability to dispute or review information. The manager told me that there WAS an amnesty program but they don't offer it anymore.To her credit, she refunded my new membership on the spot, which I am very grateful for. But now I can't use any Planet Fitness location until I pay off an account fraudulently opened in my name.I do not recommend signing up for any Planet Fitness location unless you are prepared to handle the billing shenanigans I had to deal with. Use Vent Fitness or Best Fitness, or even the YMCA if any of them are within your price range.

Had many stellar experiences during my workouts here however, I was only in upstate NY for a month for work and never had been to a planet fitness prior to that. I called the gym while I was in the Albany airport heading home and was instructed I could only cancel my membership by physically coming into that specific gym or writing and mailing a letter. I sent the letter and received a call earlier today informing me that since my letter was received after the 10th (today is the 11th) that I would be charged for the entire month. Spoke to the manager named Gary and he continued to deflect blame on "slow mail sorting" and instructed me to call my bank and refuse the charge because there was nothing he could do...

They charge 30 $ one week later I got charged 54$ dolar ,I suppose to not dealing with this They already had my card information and they would charged me for some reason that I never told and informed ,also I doesn't suggest this place you can go better place which is has so much better equipment with the same price.
